Abhishek pov :
As I sat at home, enduring my mother's scolding for breaking my arm while playing Kabaddi after school, a notification chimed on my phone. Intrigued, I reached for it, expecting the usual flood of messages from friends and classmates.
To my surprise, the message was from Kashish - someone I had never exchanged words with before. In school, she seemed to keep to herself, an introvert in contrast to my outgoing nature. Despite our differences, there had always been something about her that caught my attention, a spark of curiosity that lingered beneath the surface.
As I read her confession, admitting her feelings for me, confusion washed over me. How could she think I had a girlfriend? We had never even spoken before. Unsure of how to respond, I decided to wait until school to address it properly.
Once back at school, I planned to clarify two things: first, that I didn't have a girlfriend, and second, that I wasn't sure about my feelings for her since we hadn't interacted much. I didn't want to give her false hope, but I was open to the idea of becoming friends.
After a month of fully recovering from my fracture, I returned to school. As I entered the classroom, my eyes searched for Kashish. When I saw her, her eyes captivated me; they were beautifully enchanting. My heart raced, but I sensed her embarrassment, so I approached her and whispered, "I don't have a girlfriend." Her eyes widened in surprise at my words. Despite feeling nervous, seeing her blush made my heart flutter.
She stood up suddenly and asked, "Then who is Saloni to you?" Her jealous expression was adorable. I realized why she thought I had a girlfriend and confessed that Saloni was just a new student asking about guitar repairs. Before I could explain further, the bell rang, signaling our chemistry class.
Upon returning from the chemistry lab, I noticed a commotion outside our classroom. Rushing in, I saw Saloni about to slap Kashish. I intervened just in time, unable to bear seeing tears in Kashish's eyes. I felt an unexplainable anger; her tears shattered me.
Kashish fled, and I questioned everyone about the situation. It turned out that a private message meant for me was mistakenly shared in the class group, implicating me as the sender. However, my phone was with Mohit, who had borrowed it to make a call. I was furious with Mohit and wanted to confront him immediately.
Realizing Kashish's misunderstanding, I felt heartbroken. Despite my efforts to explain, she ignored me and focused solely on her studies, shutting out the gossip around her. I desperately wanted to clear the air between us, but her avoidance hurt deeply.
Confronting Mohit, he explained he intended it as harmless banter with Abhishek. However, Abhishek's reaction surprised him, leading to a confrontation.
Mohit: "Dude, chill! It was just a joke. I didn't think it would cause such chaos."
Abhishek: "You crossed the line, Mohit. This isn't funny."
Mohit: "I'll make it right, I promise. Let's talk to Kashish and sort this out."As the days passed, Kashish's cold demeanor persisted, leaving me longing for her forgiveness and understanding.
After the board exams, Kashish transferred to another school, leaving me disheartened at the thought of not seeing her again.

After two years....
Present timeAuthor's pov :
Abhishek sat in his room, staring at the acceptance letter from the prestigious business school where his parents insisted he should go. His heart sank as he thought about his true passion for music. Despite his dreams of pursuing a career in music, his parents had relentlessly pressured him into joining the family business.
"Mom, Dad, I can't do this," Abhishek pleaded as he entered the living room, clutching the acceptance letter tightly.
His father glanced up from his newspaper, a stern look on his face. "Abhishek, we've discussed this. Your future is in business, not music."
"But music is my passion! I want to pursue it as a career," Abhishek insisted, his frustration mounting.
His mother sighed, "Abhishek, we know you love music, but business is a stable path. Think about your future."
Feeling defeated, Abhishek reluctantly agreed to follow his parents' wishes, knowing he didn't have much choice.
As the first day of college approached, Abhishek couldn't shake off his resentment towards his parents for dictating his future. However, he put on a brave face and joined the business program, burying his musical aspirations deep within.

At the freshers party...
As the freshmen gathered for the talent show organized by the seniors, Abhishek felt a mix of nerves and reluctance. He stood at the back of the crowd, trying to blend in, but his friends had other plans.
"Abhishek bhai, come on! You have to show off your singing skills," his friend Rohan urged, clapping him on the back.
Abhishek shook his head, "Nahi yaar, I'm not feeling it today."
But his friends were persistent, rallying around him with enthusiasm. "Arre bhai, don't be shy! You're amazing at singing. It's now or never," said Ankit, another friend, encouragingly.
Reluctantly, Abhishek gave in to their insistence. With a deep breath, he stepped onto the stage as the spotlight shone down on him. The crowd cheered as he prepared to sing, his heart pounding with nervousness.
As he started singing, his voice resonated through the hall, captivating the audience. But amidst the applause and cheers, Abhishek's gaze landed on a pair of familiar eyes he had longed to see for the past two years - Kashish's eyes, shining with curiosity and admiration.
Their eyes met, and for a moment, the world around them faded away. Abhishek felt a rush of emotions, his heart skipping a beat as he sang, pouring his soul into the music.
[As Abhishek's eyes meet Kashish's]
Abhishek (to himself): "Kashish... Finally, I get to see those eyes again."
Author's Note: In the upcoming part, there will be a long-awaited interaction between Abhishek and Kashish after two years.
