This Online Stranger
A poem by: Zyren Pancho

In this vast online world, a stranger I did meet,
No names were exchanged, our conversation bittersweet,
With an enchanting smile that could light up the room,
Cute eyeglasses add to a charming bloom

We talked so freely, our words dancing in the air,
And he sang "Easy on Me'' by Adele.
Lost in the rhythm, swaying to your song, distracted by your tone all night long.

Lost in the digital sea, searching for a connection,
Hoping to find him again, in this vast online reflection,
Our souls intertwined, through the pixels on the screen,
Yearning to reunite, in a world where strangers convene.

Our conversation flowed, like rivers in the night,
Sharing stories and interesting facts, our moods taking flight,
But in the vastness of the web, our paths did diverge,
Yet the memory lingers, like an eternal surge.

In this vast online world, where faces come and go,
I hold onto the hope, that our paths will once again show,
For in the realm of the internet, where friendships can ignite,
Replacing  the where are you's, show yourself in refine.

Giving importance to a memory that's left
A video recorded, led to an emotional shift
A talk so genuine and true
The internet's betrayal left me feeling blue.

Yet in my thoughts, you'll forever reside,
A memory cherished deep inside.
Though we may never cross paths again,
Our encounter is a tale that will never wane.

So let our story be a reminder true,
Of the magic found in the online milieu.
For even in fleeting moments we share,
Connections can blossom, beyond compare.

Lesson: Every person may come and go but don't you ever forget the learnings they taught you or the memories both you guys shared.
