It was a week later. It was a Saturday.

I was sitting on my bed watching YouTube on my phone.

Ruby appeared in my room.

I wasn't scared of her anymore.

I was kind of curious about what a vampire can do.

"Well, vampires are powerful, can run fast, read minds, and turn into bats," she replied casually.

"Can you fly when you're a bat?" I asked curiously.

"Yeah. I can pretty much do everything that a bat can do." She replied casually.

"Can you take me for a fly, please?" I asked politely.

"Sure, why not." She replied.

Ruby turned into a bat.

She looks adorable as a bat.

She smiled.

She put her feet on my shoulders and picked me up like I weighed nothing. She carried me out of my bedroom window and flew quickly.

It was 5 seconds later.

We arrived at a waterfall.

Ruby put me down on the cliff's edge and turned back into a human.

"How was that?" She asked.

"It was so much fun," I replied excitedly, smiling.

She smiled back.

"Can you please fly me above the houses?" I asked politely.

"Sure." She replied.

She turned into a bat once more and carried me.

We flew over the houses.

They looked incredible from up here.

"I can see my house," I said, pointing to mine.

"I can see mine." She replied.

It was a few hours later.

We arrived back in my room.

We explored the entire city.

She put me down gently on the floor and turned back into a human.

"Well, I'd better be heading off now. Bye." Ruby said.

I could hear disappointment and sadness in her voice.

"Bye," I replied sadly.

I didn't want her to go.

"Do you want me to stay the night?" She asked.

"Yes," I replied, smiling.

I lay down on my bed, and she lay down next to me. I put my head on her chest, my hand on her waist, and my legs on hers. I closed my eyes. She put her hand on mine and wrapped her arm around me. I smiled.

I felt safe in her arms.

Eventually, I drifted off to sleep.
