Chapter 6 I Abuse

This chapter has abuse in it and if it triggers u pls don't read it.

It was a week later. It was a Friday.

I just got home from a party.

I didn't tell my dad or step monster I was heading out.

I slowly opened the front door, trying my best not to make any noise.

I noticed there was a shadowy figure in front of me.

My eyes adjusted to the dark, and it was Jan, my step monster, looking furious with her arms crossed. My dad is standing behind me.

I couldn't tell the expression on his face 

Uh oh.

Jan abuses me, but she never abuses Dad. I hate her. My dad used to be friendly and sweet and always stood up for me until my stepmom hypnotised him. Ever since they were dating, he has always stood up for her and never me. He thinks that she's always right and not an asshole. And I tried explaining it to him 1,000 times, but he never listened. I eventually gave up, thinking there was no point.

"Where were you?" My step monster asked.

I didn't want to say I was at a party, or she'd kill me. I decided to lie and told them I was at Jeromy's.

"I was at Jeromy's," I replied nervously.

"Bull shit, I can smell alcohol on your breath, your voice is slurred, and you stumble. You were at a party." She snarled.

Oh shit.

I was so terrified I tried not to cry or otherwise step monster would yell at me some more.

"Yeah," I said nervously.

She hit me on the cheek, and I felt a sharp pain there.

I wanted to run to my room but couldn't because they were blocking the hallway. I decided to run to Jeromy's.

I turned around and bolted out the door as fast as I could.
