It was a minute later.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked.
"I'm sorry, but no," Ruby said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because I'm a vampire, and you're a human. What would people think if I look 18 and you're 80?" She asked.
"Well, turn me into a vampire," I said.
"No way." She said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because there's a 90% chance that you'll become evil. And I don't want to risk that." She said.
"I don't care. I need to be with you, and this is the only way," I said.
"Fine." She said.
Her eyes glowed red, and her fangs appeared. She bit her arm, her blood drawing. She removed her teeth and put her arm to my mouth.
"Drink." She said.
I put my mouth up to her arm, and I drank her blood.
It tastes so good.
I kept drinking her tasty blood until Ruby tried to remove her arm from me. I let go of her. Ruby looked at me worriedly.
"You'll be ok." Ruby cupped my face and smiled.
All of my senses started flooding in.
All I could smell was the scent of blood from kilometres away.
There was one thing that I wanted. What I needed. It wasn't Ruby.
It was blood.
