"Nightmare"
A young girl ran out of a house, chasing her younger brother in a game of tag. She caught the boy's shirt and cheerfully yelled.
"I caught you Yo-chan! You're it!!"
She noticed his silence and looked up at a tall figure. Their uncle stood there with a scowl and death glare. He held a pack of beers and a lighter in his hand.
He pushed the boy out of the way, making him trip and fall on the ground.
The girl glared at the man's back and turned to her brother. "Are you okay, Yo-chan?" She asked while helping him up.
The boy had tears in his eyes.
"Mi-chan, Why is uncle always so mean?" He asked and wiped his runny nose with his sleeve. He looked at his sister who also didn't have an answer to that question.

The girl sat on the floor outside her little brother's room, guarding it from their alcoholic uncle. She was barely trying to stay awake and her eyes kept nervously darting to the stairs.
