"One last effort"

"Did you finally run out of useless soldiers? They didn't put up much of a fight anyway. I'd much rather see how our new vampire is doing."

Kaiser said and appeared infront of Karasu. The ravenette male stepped back and took out his gun, shooting him  in the head.

The vampire stumbled back and took out the bullet with his hand. "I suggest you aim for the heart." He pointed to his chest with a smirk.

Mira quickly snatched the gun from Otoya's hands and pulled the trigger. The wooden bullet pierced Kaiser in the exact spot he was pointing at. He opened his mouth in shock and fell on his knees.

One second he held his chest in pain and the next he slapped the weapon out of her hands. She didn't even have enough time to gasp as he grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer.

"Just a little higher and you would've killed me. Better than that newbie vampire but still."

He whispered as she struggled against him. "Let go of me!!"

Otoya grabbed a nearby glass bottle and smashed it over his head. Kaiser raised a brow at him and kicked him in the stomach.

Otoya stumbled back but got back to his feet in a second. He took out a wooden knife and swung it at the vampire. Meanwhile Karasu snuck up behind him, throwing a punch at his jaw.

Mira wiggled out of his grasp as the three ganged up on the blonde. She punched him in the face as Otoya stabbed him in the lower stomach.

Karasu was about to attack again but Kaiser grabbed him by the collar. He threw him across the room effortlessly and moved onto Otoya.

He punched the male multiple times extremely fast, giving him no time to react or defend. The vampire threw him against a wall, knocking him out. Mira felt cold sweat drip down her forehead.

The gun was on the other side of the room so she had to act fast. She ran towards it while Kaiser was distracted with the others.

Her sprint didn't go unnoticed by him. He chased after her as Mira circled around a large table. The two ran around like cats and dogs till she ran behind the couch.

She could see the gun on the floor but Kaiser grabbed her wrist, stopping her.

The girl kicked him in the stomach and twisted her way out of his grasp. She pushed him hard while he was off balance and continued sprinting.

Kaiser fell on the ground with an irritated scowl. He grabbed her by the ankle causing her to also trip. Mira reached for the gun with her hand only to be pulled back by him. She kicked and wiggled only to waste her stamina.

The blonde sat up on his knees and grabbed a fist-full of her hair. Mira let out a yelp and hiss. "You bastard."

"You were the one that decided to play dirty."

He said and threw her to the side. Kaiser grabbed the gun and pointed it at her.

She sat leaning against the wall, holding her head in pain. Her legs were on the verge of giving up but she managed to glare up at him.

"Let's see if these bullets work on humans."

Mira's eyes widened as he pulled the trigger. An ear-piercing scream left her lips as the bullet pierced the side of her stomach. She held the wound as blood gushed out uncontrolably.

She leaned her head against the wall while groaning in pain. "Guess it works."

Kaiser said and bent down to her level. He slid the gun across the floor away from her and sighed. "If only you stayed loyal to the right person. I could heal you right now. Take away your pain. You just have to use the magical word."
