"Internal Conflict"

Kaiser closed the door behind him and leaned against it. I really screwed up. He let out a heavy sigh slid down to the floor. He momentarily closed his eyes, praying that today was just a dream and that he'd wake up and things would be normal between them.

Nope it's still real.

He opened his eyes and pushed his hair back. Was this feeling really guilt? Was he guilty for hurting her? It wouldn't be the first time, I mean he shot her, drank her blood, did all kinds of bad things to her in the past so...

Why?

Had his guilty conscience finally caught up to him? Is that why his heart felt like someone was sqeezing the life out of it?

Now his head was also hurting.

He stood up and looked back at her door one last time.

Kaiser stripped down and turned on the hot water. He needed to get his mind off of her, somehow, it didn't matter how.

Just one second without him recalling her glossy eyes glaring at him. He went under the water and let it submerge him. The blonde's body relaxed but his mind was still in ruins.

He turned the water off and got out.

His eyes landed on the foggy mirror. He wiped it away with his arm and looked at his own reflection.

Indeed a monster stared back at him.

Actually... there were two monsters. Him and his reflection. He grabbed the counter and gripped it till his knuckles turned white. He was a vampire, why would he care about something as trivial as her feelings?

A human's feelings?

Kaiser had had enough.

All those thoughts that plagued his mind were driving him insane. He punched the mirror in anger, shattering it into a million pieces.

His wiped his bloody hand on a white towel and walked out of the bathroom, fuming.

Kaiser turned to his best friend, the only one that stayed by his side for all of eternity. He poured himself a glass of bourbon, then chugged.

He repeated this again..

And again..

And again..
