"Hitman"

"Let's go home alright?"

Kaiser said and gently helped Mira stand straight. She nodded as he fixed the coat around her shoulders. He touched her cheeks again, warming his cold hands on them with a smile.

"Get your freezing hand off." She complained and turned her head to the side. Kaiser chuckled, but noticed a car speeding right towards them.

Her eyes widened as the headlights blinded her. The vampire tightly grabbed her waist throwing them both on the sidewalk.

The black car came to a screeching stop before driving towards them again. Kaiser had just recovered from the first tackle. He was on top of Mira, holding her head to prevent any injuries.

He looked at her, trying to figure out if she was okay. She slowly opened her eyes and glanced at the car. Her hands instinctively held onto his shirt as he grabbed her chin.

"Kaiser the car--!"

"Look at me okay? Don't look away."

The girl nodded hesitantly as the headlights got closer. Kaiser maintained eye contact as he stopped the car with one hand.

The vehicle's front bent at his strength as the car came to a stop inches away from them. "You can look now." He said and smiled.

Mira looked at the car and gasped. "You- you did this with one hand!??!"

The vampire stood up and carefully helped her do the same. She dusted the coat on her shoulders and looked at him. "What now?"

She asked and watched as Kaiser approached the driver's seat. The hitman pointed a gun at him with shaking hands. The blonde grabbed the gun from his hands and crushed it like a toy.

"Who sent you?"

Before the two could react the hitman bit his tongue and killed himself. "Shit." Kaiser cursed under his breath and tried stopping the bleeding but it was no use.

"There goes our only lead."

Kaiser and Mira returned home after escaping death. The vampire offered to carry her multiple times but she rejected him everytime, claiming to be perfectly fine.

He stopped the car infront of the house and looked over at Mira, who had leaned her head against the window. "You asleep?"

After not recieving an answer he got out and walked over to the passanger's seat. He quietly opened the seatbelt and picked the girl up gently.

The two people inside the house dropped their jaws at the sight. "What happened?!" Ness asked in a panic as he saw the girl.

"She's sleeping." The blonde corrected making Isagi sigh. He threw daggers at him till he disappeared onto the second floor.

"What do you think happened?" The ravenette asked. Ness just shrugged and chuckled. "I've learned to mind my business when it comes to them."

Kaiser treated her like a glass doll. Gently placing her on the bed and taking off her shoes silently. His eyes would often drift to her peaceful sleeping face.
