Chapter III

As another lesson started, Ben was just finishing his presentation. He got up and Larry was just leaving the room. He ran after him, shouting: "Larry! Wait!", and Larry stopped and whispered: "Ben, we shouldn't really talk to each other in the corridor too much." "Why not?" Ben said and Larry said: "Well, it's...the pupils, they..."

Before Larry finished the sentence, a guy from his class, Toby just left the restroom. While adjusting his trousers, he saw the two men and said: "Woohoo! Mr. Rick. Got yourself a model or somethin'?"

Ben saw Larry roll his eyes and bit his lip, waiting what Larry will say. He turned to Toby and said: "First of all, It's Rickard. Not Rick. Second of all, you should show some respect for your teachers. And third of all...shouldn't you be in class?"

Ben leaned his shoulder against a wall next to him and the boy said: "But you'd look great together, Mr. Rick.", and winked at Ben, making him giggle. "RICKARD!" Larry shouted as Toby was leaving and Ben chuckled. He said: "Sorry, you were saying?" and tried to hide his smile. Larry scanned him with his eyes, his glance travelling to Ben's arms that made him instantly excited, thinking about how helpless he would be in his bed. He said: "Just...come along.", and Ben smiled even more.

They stopped in front of two classrooms and Larry said: "You are teaching over here." "And you?" Ben asked, coming close to Larry. Dangerously close. Larry said: "That one.", and pointed at a door with the top of his head. Ben said: "Would you go for a dinner with me tonight? Just so we...get to know each other a little better."

Unexpectedly for Larry, the man took one more step closer to him. Since Ben was a little taller than him, he looked up into his gorgeous blue eyes and said: "Well, I..."

"Jesus. Of course he would!" Toby said as he stood by the open door and Larry shouted: "TOBY!", and Toby got into the classroom quickly, while giggling. Ben said: "So? What about eight PM?"

Larry said: "We'll talk about it later." "I'll be looking forward to it."

Then the man TOUCHED Larry. He took a strand of his hair and put it behind his ear. Larry felt his heart jump and said quickly: "S-Sorry. I-I have to..." and pointed at the door, where Toby's head was once again. Ben said: "Oh, we've got company. I get it. Okay."

As Larry was getting into the classroom, Ben said: "Larry?", and Larry looked at him. Ben said: "Milk two sugars, was it?" Larry was shocked. He said: "Y-yes. How..."

He thought about it for a bit and then just said: "Y-yes.", and closed the door.

As Ben entered the classroom, he said: "Good afternoon, guys. How are you?"

A bunch of good-s and great-s echoed from the room and Ben smiled. He sat on his desk and said: "My name is Benjamin Willbond. I will be teaching History and Physical Education. Now, I understand that this might not be your favourite subject, and I kinda want to get along, so what about we ask each other some questions to get to know each other a little better and leave the learning for the next lesson?"

The students cheered and Ben said: "Alright, I would like you to take a piece of paper, write down your names and position them on your desks, so I can see them."

The students did exactly that and Ben said: "Okay. You start. Feel free to ask any questions you'd like to know the answer to."

They were all quiet at first and one girl then raised her hand. Ben said: "Rachel, right?" She nodded and said: "Yes, is there any Mrs. Willbond?" and the class laughed. Ben smiled and said: "Not-not anymore." Rachel said: "Shit. I'm so sorry. Did you get divorced or?" Ben sighed and said: "Well...this came earlier than I expected.", and giggled painfully. He said: "My wife died four years ago due to...complications." Rachel said: "I'm so sorry." Ben said: "No, it's okay. You didn't know." And smiled.

A boy then raised his hand and Ben said: "Timothy?", and the boy said: "Are you gay by any chance?" and Ben laughed out loud along with the other pupils. He said: "Well, I'm...ugh. That's pretty difficult question. I am not exactly gay, but lately I feel drawn to men more than women, sometimes." Timothy smiled and said: "Have you met Mr. Rickard, yet?"

Ben smiled and said: "Yes. I have.", and Timothy continued: "What do you think about him?" "About Mr. Rickard?" Ben asked and the boy nodded. Ben said: "Well...I think he's a nice guy."

Another boy then said: "Would you date him?", and Ben giggled. He said: "I've just met him." And the boy smiled.

Another girl then raised her hand. Ben said: "Samantha?" "I prefer Sam." She said and Ben said: "Sorry. Sam it is then." "That's cool." She said and continued: "What's your favourite history era or topic."

Ben said: "Well...It is hard to choose, really. I like...Tudors, definitely. Then probably World Wars. Vikings. Ancient Greece and Rome...stuff like that." And the girl smiled. Ben said: "What about you, Sam?" she said: "Tudors. Definitely Tudors." "Definitely." Ben echoed with a giggle and she said: "Yeah. Ancient states are good. Egypt, Rome, Greece, India, China...Persia."

As Larry entered the room, he was blushing. Toby said: "So what about your new boyfriend, professor?" Larry sighed and said: "You know I could have you expelled for that, right?" Toby said: "Oh come on. You love me." Larry chuckled and said: "Right.", and the other pupils laughed. Larry said: "Just...don't do that in front of Mr. Willbond. He isn't used to that and it might hurt his feelings." Toby said: "Which you care about. Gotcha.", and pointed finger guns at him while winking. Larry rolled his eyes and said: "Right. Ancient Egypt..."
