Larry entered the staffroom and closes the door behind him.
Simon was 5here alone, grading tests, and he whipped his head up to look at the door. He said: “How did it go?”, looking back into the papers right away. Larry said: “I-I think he wanted to kiss me.”
Simon took off his glasses and put the papers away. He grabbed his mug and put his feet up on the desk. He said: “I feel like I should hear it.”
Larry walked over to his desk and sat down. He said: “We played basketball. Just for fun. Then we were exhausted and we sat down for a bit. He put a hand on my face, and then he looked at my lips, and I closed my eyes, and we started getting closer, and just as I felt his breath on my lips…” Simon was sitting straight, now, listening carefully. He said: “Well?”
“Bloody Toby showed up and ruined everything.” Larry said and Simon slumped back into his chair. “Damn it!” he said and threw his head back, looking at the ceiling.
The next lesson, Larry went to teach another class.
After the lesson, Ben waited for him outside of his class with coffee in his hands. He said: “Larry. How was the class?” handing him the coffee. He grabbed Larry’s stuff and carried it for him. Larry said: “It was…nice actually. No stupid jokes whatsoever.”
Ben giggled and said: “I wish I could say the same.”, and Larry looked at him in confusion. He said: “Toby?” “Yeah.” Ben said smiling.
Larry said: “Ben?” “Hm?” Ben answered, looking in Larry’s eyes. Larry said: “Do you…Do you wanna go for a drink?” “Tonight?” Ben asked and Larry nodded.
Ben remembered that he was supposed to spend the night with girls today, since it was Thursday and they had a game night. He said: “I’m sorry, Larry, but I’ve got loads of stuff to do at home. I wont be able to make it tonight.” “Oh, uh…that’s fine. I…” Larry stuttered and Ben said: “But tomorrow we could go. Just…not today.” Larry smiled and nodded, saying: “Yeah. Tomorrow’s cool.”, and grabbed his stuff, entering the staffroom.
