It's Who I Am

Chapter 2

Lloyd felt uneasy as he walked into the doors of Ninjago High. This was his third year of high school, and the 2nd year of having friends. He felt eyes of piercing glares land on his skin as he walked through the long halls near his classroom. Lost in thought, he walked towards his classroom, he was so distracted he didn't notice the girl walking right into him. Her books and binder fell into the ground with a thud, which managed to bring Lloyd to reality. "Sorry!"

Standing in front of him was Nya, Kai's younger sister. "Oh hey Nya," Lloyd replied, helping her pick up her books. Nya smiled as Lloyd handed her the last book. "Hey Lloyd." Lloyd always thought Nya as a sister, since she was the only other person besides Kai who liked him. "What's your schedule like?" She asked out of curiosity.

Lloyd opened his book bag and pulled out a piece of paper. On it was each day of the week and what to class he had.

"Let's see, today is Monday...so today I have P1, Literature, P2, Math, then lunch, P3, P.E. And P4, mixed media."

Nya grinned. "You have the exact same classes as Kai today. Except P.E., sadly."

Lloyd felt blood stain his mouth as pain echoed through his body. So many thoughts were inside him. So much pain. Chen laughed as he delivered another punch in his already broken nose.

P.E. Was always like this. Chen and the other idiots would find him in the boys bathroom, corner him, and beat him up. "Listen here you bitch..." Chen said between breaths.

"Your father is the reason me and Harumi's mother is dead. She is gone, you twerp. I may not be able to take revenge on Garmadon, but I damn can on you." Lloyd couldn't speak. "Chen...I'm sorry about your mother...but I had nothing to do with it..." "Quiet you asswhole!"Chen punched him again as Chens friend held Lloyd. After about 5 minutes of what felt like 2 years to Lloyd, the boys left. Bloody and badly bruised, Lloyd managed to stand up, and lucky him, Kai was able to find him, since Kai realized Lloyd was late for Mixed Media. "Oh my FSM...Lloyd we were getting you to the nurse."

"No I'm fine Kai...really." Kai put Lloyd arm over his shoulder and practitioner dragged him to the nurse, Ms. Mistake. The only teacher who didn't hate Lloyd.

She was an old woman with gray hair tied tightly into a bun. Her eyes showed lack of sleep and comfort. "Lloyd...please lay down!" Mistake urged, helping Kai put him down. "There you go, buddy," Kai replied, sitting in a chair by his side. The clinic had two soft mattresses which Mistake cleaned and made herself. Near the corner was a desk made of white painted wood and a office phone near the couple of pens inside a mug. Across from the desk, rows and rows of shelves held medicine, first aid and other medical equipment. "Kai, would you mind leaving?" Mistake asked politely. Kai blinked at her and his face became flushed with anger and worry. "He's my friend miss! You can't let me leave him!"
Lloyd groaned on the bed and Mistake looked back at Kai. "I understand, Kai. But you must give me a chance, I must tend to him in private. Go to class."

"But..."

"That's an order, Kai Smith!"

Kai begrudgingly left as Mistake prepared a special vile of what looked like dark magenta fluid. "You got yourself into big trouble, young Garmadon." Lloyd couldn't speak, his blood stained the mattress.
She made Lloyd drink the tea, which instantly healed his wounds, though they were still faintly visible. "H...how did you do that?" Lloyd asked. Mistake smiled as she helped him sit up. She put the empty cup on the table next to Lloyd and sat beside him. "Young Garmadon..." "Lloyd," Lloyd interrupted.
"Lloyd..." Mistake corrected. "There are things in this world that cannot be explained...things humans will never understand. Now, I am going to call your paren...mother so she can come pick you up."

Lloyd felt his backpack buzz and he checked his phone. (Kai grabbed it when he found Lloyd and also, Lloyds backpack is beside him) It was a text from Kai, who was not supposed to have his phone in class, but of course, Kai didn't care. Lloyd was like his brother.

Yeah. The nurse gave me a weird liquid that healed my wounds instantly. There still visible though.

Wow...Chen really messed you up.

I'm am for real, Kai. Trust me.

Okay...okay...I believe you. Also gtg, teacher is coming over here.

Got it.

Lloyd sighed and put his phone away. "Lloyd, your mother is here," He heard Mistake tell him. Lloyd stood up, still dizzy, but headed towards the door and to the front desk.

"Oh my god...Lloyd!" Misako, Lloyd mother, hugged him and started looking at him. "I'm so sorry, Lloyd."

Lloyd smiled. "It's fine. Can we leave?"

"Yes."

"Thank you."

As they left Lloyd swore he could hear the secretary mutter, "Devil family."
