It's Who I Am

Chapter 4

A sound of knock echoed from the door. "Lloyd answer the door!" Misako called from her room. Lloyd, eager to his friend, quickly opened the door. "Hey Kai..." Kai rushed inside the apartment and slammed the door. Misako came from her room and smiled as she saw Kai. "Hello, Kai. Lloyd told me you were coming." Kai smiled in return, rubbing the back of his neck. "Hey Ms. Uh..." Misako laughed. "Oh please, Kai, I understand you want to call me by my last name, and that's fine. Go ahead I find no offense." Lloyd rolled his eyes and dragged Kai into his room. "Kai there is something I have to show you. But first, you promise not to tell anyone?"

Kai put his hand in the air. "I promise."

Lloyd quickly grabbed the old journal from the side desk and handed it to Kai, opening the entry Garmadon had written several years ago. Kai's eyes widened as he read the words over and over. He then looked up at Lloyd. "Garmadon wrote this?" He asked surprised. Lloyd nodded. "Yes." Kai sat on Lloyds bed and put the old journal beside him. "He really does love you." Lloyd then grabbed the journal, stood up, and placed it in the draw in his desk. "He did, Kai. Not anymore." Lloyd then couldn't help it but to burst into tears. Kai held him close, trying to comfort him, but it was too much for Lloyd to handle. Everything he had been though, from past to present, it had been plying up inside, nobody's to tell of his pain and sorrows, his hopes and dreams. "It's going to be okay, Lloyd," Kai said softly hugging him.

Lloyd decided it was best if he walked to school. Maybe people would be looking at him strangely, but it was better than taking the bus, where people spit and threw trash on him. Kai and Nya had agreed to walk with Lloyd to school. Not just to protect him, but to comfort and be with him. "I begged my mom not to force me to go to school today," Lloyd muttered, so only Kai and Nya could hear. "I did too," Kai replied. "She is still pissed about the C+ though." Nya laughed and patted Kai on the back, grinning. "You have to find a way to keep up with me, hairgel." Kai grumbled as both of the younger teens laughed. "You guys suck."

"So do you," Lloyd smiled.

They arrived at the school very early, which is what Lloyd liked. He wouldn't be put through much bullying in the morning, since everyone would be tired and busy with their own thing. It was later when the bullying truly started. Except there was one down side..."Well, well, well, who do we have here?" Lloyd, Kai and Nya sighed and turned around. Standing there were the two most annoying boys in all of Ninjago high school, Cole Brookstone and Jay Walker. "What do you want?" Lloyd groaned. These two boys were much a threat, but they bullied mentally more than physically. Coles girlfriend (I do not support this! This is just for the story! To add drama!) was also there. Cole's girlfriend was Harumi Jade, Chen's younger sister. She was the queen bee and gossip queen. Always finding a way to dig up dirt for her gossip app: Lovejoy. "Just checking up on you, devil." Before Lloyd could speak, Nya countered instead. "Why not you three shut up and go to the dumpster where you belong?" Kai and Lloyd snickered, watching Cole's face went into a red hue. Harumi snapped her finger, and both Cole and Jay both pinned Nya and Kai to the wall why Harumi cornered Lloyd. "Okay, you piece of shit, why not you watch your friends be beat up? Will that be worse than you being beat up?" Lloyd felt himself pushed to the wall by an unseen figure. When he saw who it was, he began to panic. It was Chen, grinning  from ear to ear.  "This should be fun," he laughed. There Lloyd stood, helpless, as he saw his friends being beat up horribly. "STOP!" He shouted, breaking free from Chen's grip. "What the F-" He tried to regain his grip on the son of Garmadon, but it was to late. Lloyd had broken free. "What the hell is going on with your eyes?!" Harumi shouted.

Lloyd couldn't speak. He stood over Harumi, his eyes pericing her skin. "Leave my friends alone, you got that?!" He growled. "You say I'm bad?! Look at what your doing! Hurting innocent people!" Harumi smiled. "Are you sure? Because that seems what your doing right now." Lloyd snapped out of it, his eyes going to a calm shade of green. Well one did, one seemed to turn to a demonic red. "Let's go boys."
Just like that, they left, leaving one badly beated person on the floor. Nya was far less worse than Cole. She was hardly bruised and nor a scratch on her. "Kai! Nya!" Lloyd shouted, getting on his knees. "I'm fine, Lloyd, really," Kai laughed. Lloyd knew that was a lie. Kai had two black eyes and was bleeding form his nose. Nya had gotten up as well, with the help of Lloyd. Lloyd also had gotten Kai up and put him by his shoulder. "Nya we need to get him to the nurse." Nya nodded in agreement. They carried him swiftly to Misako, who quickly took care of him, but pushed Lloyd and Nya out of the room, and forcing them to go to class. "I can't believe she did that! Taking me away from my brother?! And you away from your friend?!" Nya complained furiously. The two annoyed teens had arrived in their classes, and like that, all three of the group had broken apart from the parting hallways. They longed to see eachother. It was only for an hour and an half, but it still sucked. Lloyd had been lost in thought for the majority of physics class. "Mr. Garmadon!" Lloyds physics teacher yelled. "What did I just say?!"

"You said that-" before the boy could answer, an announcement came over the loud speaker. "Students of Ninjago High, This is a Garamadon attack alert. Please take cover!"
Planning to change into his green ninja gi, Lloyd rushed into the hallway when for the 2nd time today, was pinned to the lockers. "Ah, so your the brat were looking for." A man with a couple missing teeth and wearing black armor smiled. "What...do...you...want?" Lloyd asked between breaths, since one of the man's hands was on his throat. The man laughed hysterically. "Simple! Your Garamadon's son are you not?!" Lloyd could tell, this guy was a lunatic. The man pulled Lloyds hoodie sleeve up. There, was a permanent mark that would never go away. It read, SON OF GARMADON. Lloyd had the mark ever since he could remember. Lloyd without hesitation, kicked the henchman in the leg as hard as he could making him fall over in pain. Lloyd rushed to the restroom and changed into his gi.

"I'm coming for you...dad."

Man, you don't have to agree with me, but I am so proud of this chapter. Also, you guys might be wondering why Kai and Nya didn't free themselves. I swear it will come up I a chapter and I will explain it. I love you all!! Till we meet again!!!!
