A cold breeze washes over your face, as you tightly cross your arms to conserve warmth. Your silvery white hair blows in the wind as you stand before a single, large gravestone planted into the ground. The name has long since faded away. You place your palm on the stone, feeling its cold, rough texture. You don't know this person, in fact, you don't really know anybody. You've been alone for as long as you remember. Suddenly, you hear something flying towards you. You quickly move out of the way, watching a pitch black creature dart past you, before landing atop the stone. An owl, almost as big as you, gazes at you. You briefly make eye contact, when you hear what sounds like a young girl approaching from the trees.

"H-hey! Oorodo! Come back!!" the girl shouts, laughing. She suddenly trips on a loose branch, making a loud grunt as she hits the ground face first. You lean over the girl. She looks to be the same age as you, only taller and with pointier ears.

...

You make an exaggerated coughing noise, and she suddenly jolts back up, as though she hadn't even been scratched. She brushes the dirt and leaves off of her body and looks at you. You stare back, not really knowing how to interact with other people. She has long, red hair and pointed ears. She also seems to be missing two of her front teeth.

"You look weird." She says.

There is another moment of silence, before she excitedly asks, "What's your name?!"

There is a brief moment of silence between you both. What IS your name?

You barely manage to speak up before a loud stomp echoes throughout the area.

"Kita! The sun is setting, it's time to head back!" A loud, booming voice shouts. Suddenly, a towering Drakon emerges from the woods, and kneels next to the elf.

"Oh come onnn!!!" She whined, "I haven't even introduced myself to my new friend!"

"...A friend?" The Drakon turns to look at you, standing next to the gravestone.

"Yeah!" She grabs you by the forearm and drags you towards him, "I haven't learned their name or anything but I want to be an optimist!"

The Drakon tilts his head at you, and speaks up.

"Child, tell me. Where are your parents?"

You're too scared to speak, so you just shrug. The Drakon nods in understanding, placing his hand on your shoulder.

"Can they come to the tower with us???" The elf girl pleads.

The Drakon smiles, "Of course. But do they want to?"

You hesitate for a moment, before taking the girl's hand.

As you walk along the road, the Drakon asks you something.

"Child, may I ask you something?"

You nod.

"What is your favorite fairy tale?"
