I love the song, "See You Again". It's truly amazing. It talks about the friend of a man who has passed away, and he is saying that he will tell his friend all about what he did when he sees him again. The song reminds me of my grandma that died, but she was like my best friend, seriously.
I whisper my song choice to Mr. Paulotte, who nods his head, and walks over to his desk to find the song. He eventually finds it and now he is playing it. I hear the first beat, and I instantly react.
"It's been a long day,
Without you my friend,
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again.
We've come a long way from where we began,
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again,
When I see you again."I am now done with the first singing part. Now comes the rapping part. Here we go...
"Who knew?
All the planes we flew, good things we've been through,
That I'd be standing right here talking to you?
About another path,
I know we'd love to hit the road and laugh,
But somethin' told me that it wouldn't last.
Had to switch up,
Look at things different see the bigger picture,
Those were the days, hard work forever pays,
Now I see you in a better place."I'm done with the first rapping part. I go through singing again, then back to rapping, and then the rest is singing. When I'm done, I am relaxed, and filled with joy. The class is gaping at me, and I smile at them. Then one kid starts clapping really hard, and all of the others join in.
Instead of blushing, I just, bow, tipping an invisible hat off to Mr. Paulotte. He's clapping too, a proud look on his face. A sit down, and no one else goes up, so the class is released 2 minutes early. I decide to go the boys' class, art.
I make my way over to their classroom, and they are just walking out, Parker blushing, and Luke laughing at him. Luke nudges Parker's shoulder, gesturing to me. Parker looks away, and I roll my eyes, and I thwack him on the back of his head.
"Quit it," I tell Luke, red on my cheeks too. He raises an eyebrow to me, and I punch him in the arm. He grunts.
"Ow, you punch hard, dude," he comments, rubbing his bicep. Big bicep, gosh.
"Dudette, and yeah, I box as a sport, and I also play softball."Luke nods, and Parker joins in, recovering from his moment of blushing. I raise both eyebrows, and say,"Are we going to Math, or what?" The boys shrug, and they follow me to Math.
We enter, and we all sit down in our places from yesterday. The tree of us are in a group of three. We are supposed to solve the problem of making a small house out of what we have in our pockets, and Ms. Landing provides us with tape.
I empty out my pockets first, to see that I literally have this random piece of paper, my phone, and a gum thingy. Parker has his phone, and Chapstick. Luke has 2 phones. Parker and I look at him. He shrugs, and I decide not to ask.
We figure out what to do, together. We use three of the phones, and the gum thingy to build most of the house, then we stick the Chapstick in the middle, and rest the paper on top. Now we have the roof. It's a funny looking house, but it works, and holds together, so....
*** FIVE MINUTES LATER...
It didn't hold together for very long. Luckily just long enough for Ms. Landing to see it still intact, though. About 10 seconds after she gave us an A, everything fell apart. The boys and I all burst out laughing.
We all bit back smiles at first, but I couldn't stand it and exploded. The boys followed shortly after me. Everybody was staring at us, but that's okay. If they think we're weird, they're right. We're also awesome.
We walk out of class, and I'm still chuckling.
"How do you still have lungs to use? You've been laughing for like, 10 minutes," Luke tells me. I take a deep breath and finally stop laughing. I catch Parker staring at me, and I kick the back of his knee, making it buckle, and he collapses on the floor.I make a pfft sound, and Parker glares at me. I hold my hand out for him to grab. He raises an eyebrow.
"You're tiny, I'm huge. What are you thinking?" he asks me. Never underestimate my strength.
"Try me," is my only response. He sighs, and grabs my hand, and I step on his toes, to hold myself in place. While I pull him up, he stares at my bicep, which looking okay. Okay, fine. It looked really muscular. I cover my forearm. He rolls his eyes. He's starting to see me as I am.
Not good, most people don't really like me for who I am. We walk to the buses, and when our bus pulls up, we all climb into it. Sitting in the same seat as yesterday, I'm thinking about Parker.
Why does he like me? He's one of the "hot guys" in school. He shouldn't like me. Why am I starting to feel tingly whenever he brushes his hand over mine? No. I will not fall for him! No way. I cannot fall for the "hot guy". I have never fallen for anybody before, and I want to keep on holding that record!
I will not fall for him!
