Edens pov

I feel like my heart is in my throat. Clarke's missing. What if she's hurt? Or worse!? "well we must go after her!" I yell in a worried voice "please calm yourself sister" Lexa tells me sensing my worry.

"I can't calm down Lexa and I wont! Clarke could be hurt!" I exclaim standing up and starting to pace around the room.

"I need to go after her!" I mutter more to myself then the other to people in my room "Edenia honey sit down" Costia gently grasps my arm, and leads me towrads my seating area in my room.

"Edenia, Clarke didn't go missing beacuse she was taken or got lost...she left on her own acord" Costia explains in a gracful concerned tone.

oh, clarke left on purpose. hearing this makes my heart clench. "Little sister, Clarke probably just needed some space from everything she's been through. I'm sure she will come back when shes ready. However I will send some guards to find her descretly and make sure she's okay if that will easze your worries." Lexa clarifys, trying to ease my very obvious concerns for the blonde girl, yet it doesn't seem to be working.

"your right" I say with a heavy heart, my words feeling like they are caught in my throat "Clarke knows what's best for herself....she'll come back when shes ready. But please do send the guards to check on her...I need to know she's safe."

lexa and costia nod at my words while costia wraps me in a hug while I hold back my emotions. this is Clarke's choice and I need to except it. all I can do now is hope that shes okay and comes back home soon.

Early morning the next day

Clarke's pov

it's been nearly a month since I left Arkadia and decided to be on my own for a while. I wasnt initaly planning on being out this long but every time I thought about going back, I thought of all the responsiblilty, pressure and blame that my people put on me.

I miss my mother and my friends immensely, however Eden has been the one that has been on my mind nonstop. I wonder if she has been informed of my disaperence yet and if she's hurting, worried or mad at me. Maybe all of the above.

since I've left I have been staying wherever I can, buliding makeshift huts for me to sleep in as well as hunting my own food. as of late, I've been staying near a beautiful river where I wake up every moring to the sound of fish jumping through the surface of the water, which has been may main source of food latley.

when I found this quaint little area, I came across a shack of some sort. I looked through the window and noticed a lot of bits and bobs with a girl roughly my age selling them like it was some kind of shop. I wanted to investigate it futher and decided to head inside, but not without keeing my guard up knowing what people are like in this new world.

As I cautiously stepped inside the shack, I was greeted by the tinkling sound of a small bell attached to the door. So much for the element of surprise. The interior was a curious mix of items, from handcrafted jewelry to old books and trinkets made in nowdays time, and before the world ended. The girl I saw through the window was busy rearranging a display of colorful stones on a wooden shelf.

"Welcome" she said with a friendly smile, her eyes curious but warm. "Looking for something in particular?"

I glanced around, taking in the cozy atmosphere of the makeshift shop. "Just exploring" I replied, trying to sound casual despite my wariness.
