My eyes open, my head hurts. I look around and I lie in a bed. I don't recognize it. When memories starts flowing in I panic a but and sit up straight. I hear footsteps coming closer. My eyes drift to the door, the handle goes down to reveal him.
Huh?
I look confused at Aston, who holds a cup in his hand.
"Aston?", I say confused. Aston just smiles. "Goodmorning" he says in return completely ignoring the look on my face. He puts the cup down on the cupboard next to the bed. "How?"
"You were attacked last night, in the hospital. And I just came to happen right on time. Six tried snatching you away, but he failed", he explains. I don't know what to say I just look at him in silence. It feels like this nightmare never truly ends. My parents and Rebecca could be dead for all I know, I missed too much school to get back on track. I probably need to do the year over, or at least. If it's possible to even ever go back.
Aston sits on the bed, with a bit distance. His face has an expression that I can't describe. "Do you know something, Aston?", I ask. To my suprise he nods his head and turns to me. "You saw Jaimy with Six, correct?" I nod my head to his question gives Aston a hesitated look but says it anyway. "I know how to make them vunrable", he speaks softly, as if looking for my reaction. "You mean as in... you know how to make them no longer unkillable?""Yes."
Aston short but confident answer gives me a spark. I can make them like any other, without killing them. I wouldn't be in danger any longer then, would I?
"But..." Aston's voice shakes me out of my thoughts. "We need them all together." My heart drops again. "How are we going to that?", I ask. "We don't know where Brody is and Six and Jaimy aren't dumb enough to just blindly follow me back into the building." "You're right, they won't. But we can use you as bait."
My face drops, but somewhere I know it's the right decision. I take the cup and take a sip from the drink in it. "Don't tell this to anyone, they won't be happy if they knew. It's between you, me and Monica, alright?" I nod my head, argreeing to it.
"Let's start with Brody, six and Jaimy come later." I nod my head. "So how de we find him?", I ask. Aston's lips curl into a confident grin. "we're not finding him. He will find you. And when he does... tell him to join you. That guy is just like the others, obsessed with your presence. I'm sure if you asked him to join you, he will", he says and stands back up. "In the meantime, I'll prepare for the trap we are going to set."
Aston walks out of the room, leaving me alone here with my own thoughts...

I spot Monica in the room, taking a seat beside her. Her face is rather pale, her eyes show an emotion I haven't seen on her before. The same uncalming aura is around her that I noticed the first time I've met her. Only this time she doesn't hide it with her cheery attitude and her smile. She looks excited yet also drained at the same time.
Maybe the death of her husband lays a toll on her?
When she notices me, she smiles warmly. "You know, don't you? I can see the look on your face", she says with the same smile. "Why are you helping me?", I ask. "You could've ignored it and ran away like everybody else would."
"I won't", she says. "People like me don't run away." I raise an eyebrow, not knowing what she means. As she sees the confused look on my face she starts talking.
"My parents were assholes, runners. Running away from every oppurtinity that would risk their stupid company", she explains. Her eyes shifting to the unsetlling aura around her. "I wasn't like them... I'm a fighter, an explorer. I was the best journalist the town had ever seen. I wrote about companies, about projects. I wrote things that people weren't suppose to know. Why does a company want to know that their buyers are being misled and manipulated?" She takes another sip of her drink. "But one day... I found something big. Something so big that I would be the most popular journalist around the world." "What did you find?", I ask curiously. Monica turns her head my way again, smiling kindly yet her eyes showing the pure excitment. "I found out that the goverment was experimenting on poor kids", he says. "They were experementing on innocent teenage boys, to see if they could make someone... undestroyable. To see if they could keep their power forever. It was big, so big. I could make them all fall with just one paper of written words. But instead..." Her voice breaks a bit, the fist on the table starting to tremble. "... they laughed at me, they said no one would believe me. And when I published my article, they threw me out. They brought their own article... saying I am a disgrace and a poor excuse of a journalist. It was written all over it. My rich ass parents threw me out, being more dissapionted then they used to be. They shouted so many... awful... things in my face! And everyone refused to believe me, to help me.... and I don't want to make the same mistake as they did."
Her voice comes out like a painful whisper, hurting her voice and her throat. Like her rights and her self worth has been stolen from her. But she takes a deep breath and drinks the cup to last drop empty and looks at me with the same smile as she takes her normal posture again. "That's why I'm helping you and will continue to help you", she says.
Yet somewhere... I feel like there is more to it than she tells me...
