The following week...
The famous skyline of New York City shimmered in the morning light as the sun danced across its skyscrapers. Everyone moving on with his or her daily lives. And unfortunately some doing petting crimes. There was always crime in this city. Speaking of crime one was happening right now a robbery in fact. Three thugs were robbing a grocery store. Two were inside while one was inside their getaway vehicle listening to some relaxing music.
Just when he was about to say something their vehicle was being flipped over while the driver was panicking. The two inside, along with the shop owner, noticed this after it had just been flipped over and just when they were about to run outside. The black-robed figure responsible burst through the door and knocked one of them sending him flying back and into a wall.
The figure responsible was wearing a black unzipped hoodie with a black t-shirt underneath, a black ski mask, dark grey goggles with reflective lenses, black cargo pants, and black high top sneakers. The shop owner and last thug stared at him in shock. Snapping out of his bewilderment the thug pointed his rifle at the figure. He dodged the gunshot while grabbing the gun with both hands before smacking the thug's nose using the barrel of the rifle. He then slipped the rifle out of the thug's grip then struck his ribs before hitting the side of his head, knocking him down with a reverse side kick to the face. "Bet this wasn't what you were expecting when you woke up, huh?" He teased the owner before running outside and disappeared.
In the school classroom...
While the teacher was busy teaching her students. Vero was not paying attention at all because he was busy drawing sketches of a fitting costume, 'his' costume to be precise.
This caught the attention of Aaron who was sitting next to him but he could not see what he was drawing. "Hey man? Vero, what are you drawing?" He asked Vero getting his attention.
"I'm sketching a something." He said without looking at AJ.
"Like what a costume? Dude Halloween is still a few months away." He told Vero as he stopped drawing and looked at Aaron.
"I'll explain to you later just not right now." He whispered to Aaron before he began drawing again.
Seth snatched Vero's sketch before he could react in time. "Whoa, looks like someone's taking their upcoming Halloween costume seriously." He teased. Vero tried to snatch it back but missed and the book ended in the hands of Carmella. She flipped through the pages until one caught her interest. It was a sketch of twin little sister.
"Oh my god. Camilla, it seems Vero has a crush on you." She then gave her the book so Camilla can see for herself.
"Oh, Vero, I'm flattened but I'm sorry we can't be together because my parents won't let me become a couple with a thug." She spoke sarcastically. At that everyone laughed at him.
"Hey, I was bored at the time so I drew the first thing that caught my eyes." He explained, sincerely. From there, the teasing continued s Vero's sketch book moved from one table to the other. From Carly, Amaya, Sydney, Siena, Karla, Darcie, Seamus and Dean.
"Students, settle down and give Vero his book back." Ms. Rachel said after letting the charade continue for some small self-amusement. Kai tossed the book in the air without taking her eyes off the passage she was reading from her book. Vero caught it and sat back at his desk. "Since I see all of you are enjoying teasing Vero's drawings. Why don't I join in the fun and offer my own knowledge of every single one of you."
"Should I continue?" She asked, the class though didn't respond remaining quiet on their seats after having their secrets threatened to be revealed to everyone like that. "Good now get back to taking notes."
