In Yunmag Jiang sect, Yu Ziyuan find out that someone saw her daughter, which breaks all the patience she was keeping, she's depressed and worried about her daughter, cos she's also a mother, she's now furious to know her daughter location.
She left her place and started flying towards Gusu Lan clan, it's 4-5 hour ride.
Once she reaches Lan Clan, she rushed towards Weiying Seclusion, Jidian was sparkling in her fingers, enough to show how angry and furious she's right now.
After seeing Madam Yu, disciples try to stop madam Yu, but they were also scared of madam Yu anger, so they rushed towards Lan Qiren quarter's to inform him.
...
Lan Qiren, Lan Xichen and many other elders rushed there, not by running but by taking rapid steps.
'Wei Wuxian! Where's A-Li!?' strike!!!
'I don't know... I really don't know... Trust me...' Weiying said while crying in pain.
'TELL ME WHERE'S MY DAUGHTER! WHERE DO YOU KEEP HER!?' strike!!! madam YU continue to beat him, with Jidian...
Weiying curled up his body brings his legs near him and hide his head with his arms, making himself smaller, he was continuously crying, but no one was hearing his sobbing there.
And soon he can't hear any sound, Lan Xichen was trying to stop her, but she's wasn't listening to anyone, Wangji was outside the sect, and he's supposed to come back tomorrow.
**Wangji's POV**
I don’t understand what’s happening, but something feels off. The deep sense of loss settles in my heart like a chilling weight. I’m nervous and anxious for reasons I can’t quite grasp. My mind races—thoughts spiraling out of control—reminding me of the time I lost my mother.
As evening approached and my agitation grew unbearable, I ordered all disciples to gather their things; we were returning to the clan. Their shock was palpable, but they complied without question, packing up even though they knew the gates would soon close.
They followed my orders obediently as we set off toward the clan.
At 11 PM, we arrived and were greeted by guards at the entrance. The barrier stood tall against us; entry required permission. But I didn’t care—I broke clan rules by stepping inside with my jade token, leaving the disciples behind.
---
I made my way toward my brother’s quarters—Hanshi—and knocked urgently on the door. It swung open immediately; Lan Xichen stood there, wide-eyed and alert despite it being past curfew.
“Brother! Are you okay?” My voice trembled with anxiety.
Xichen noticed my distress but hesitated to share what had happened. He didn’t have time to explain; I was too fraught with worry.
“Wangji, let’s go to Uncle’s quarters. He can explain everything better,” Xichen urged, pulling me along toward Lan Qiren's chambers.
---
**Lan Xichen's POV**
I couldn't ignore how much Wangji had been affected by Master Wei's presence lately. He seemed to be developing feelings for him without even realizing it.
"Wangji, let's go to Uncle's quarters; he will probably explain the situation better," I suggested, leading him toward Lan Qiren's chambers.
As we walked, I felt the weight of the situation pressing down on both of us. I knew Wangji was anxious and confused; it was time for him to learn the truth about what had transpired with Wei Wuxian-and perhaps even confront his own feelings in the process.
---
Xichen knocked on the door, the sound echoing in the stillness of the air, as if it were a herald of impending chaos. Wangji stood frozen, his heart racing in his chest, each beat a reminder of the tension that hung thick around them. The door creaked open with a drawn-out *kerr*, revealing Qiren, whose expression was a mask of surprise that quickly settled into something more neutral—almost dismissive.
“Wangji!” Qiren exclaimed, his voice laced with an incredulous edge. The shock in his eyes was fleeting, replaced by an unsettling calm that sent a shiver down Wangji's spine. **What was he hiding?** Wangji’s mind raced, thoughts colliding like storm clouds.
“Wangji, Xichen, come inside. How come Wangji is here? Isn’t he supposed to come tomorrow afternoon? I don’t know my youngest nephew is bold enough to break the rules.” Qiren’s words were sharp, slicing through the air with an authority that felt suffocating.
“Uncle!” Xichen interjected, his voice firm yet tinged with urgency.
“Xichen, are you admitting that Wangji hasn’t broken any rules?” Qiren replied in a tone so flat it could have been chiseled from stone.
Wangji clenched his fists at his sides, knuckles whitening as he fought against the tide of emotions threatening to drown him—anger simmered just beneath the surface, while worry twisted in his gut like a coiled serpent. **This isn’t how it was supposed to be.** The nausea rose within him, a bitter taste flooding his mouth as he struggled to maintain his composure. He remained silent, merely staring at his uncle and brother, desperate for answers yet paralyzed by confusion.
“So, Yu Ziyuan was here in the morning,” Qiren continued, oblivious to Wangji’s turmoil. “Currently she’s staying in the guest quarters and we informed Sect Leader Jiang about this too. She came here furious and broke many of our sect rules, which is indeed a matter of concern. And she just unleashed her anger on that ‘Wei Wuxian.’ He’s currently with the healers, and we will discuss more about this when Jiang Fengmian arrives.”
Wangji’s heart plummeted at the mention of Wei Wuxian’s name; disbelief washed over him like ice water. **How could this happen?** He felt as though the ground had shifted beneath him. Closing his eyes tightly, he tried to steady himself against the rising tide of panic; he gripped his sword with one hand while the other tightened into a fist so hard that it felt as if it might shatter under its own pressure.
Xichen noticed Wangji's struggle but said nothing; instead, he watched silently as Wangji wrestled with his emotions. The air felt heavy with unspoken words and unresolved tensions.
With a sudden surge of determination, Wangji stood up and moved toward the healer pavilion, each step fueled by urgency and dread. His uncle reached out to stop him, but Xichen was quicker—he grabbed Qiren’s arm firmly but gently, holding him back as if sensing that Wangji needed this moment alone to confront whatever awaited him ahead.
