Steeltrix and Widit waited for Moonblossom to awaken before they moved on through what stood for the slums of the station. It was disgusting by and standard, trash and grim covered the floor while Steeltrix had to turn on his suits air filters to try and breathe clean air from all the rankness that hung in the air.
But as they walked along, it soon became very apparent that the slums had been hit by the absolute worst of the monster outbreak as they came across corpses scattered all over the floor, blood splatters thick along the walls and as Steeltrix felt himself drop a little into the hole, the blood along the floor rose up his boots and he felt queasy in his stomach as he tried to force the feeling back down into his gut.
They continued to walk along as Widit asked, "So... what now? How will we enter the hangars?"
"Hopefully, some working elevators...." Steeltrix said as they walked along.
Just then, they heard some nearby banging, like something was trying to break down a door and as they all paused to hear the noise, it then abruptly stopped.
They all looked around as they began to expect something to show up but then Steeltrix slowly walked along the halls as he slowly panned his weapon around as he came to the corner and looked around it.
He saw nothing there but he did see a few open doors and as he slowly walked through the blood covered floors, his hoofs made slight sucking noises in the blood.
He came to the door as he slowly leaned around and Widit did the same to the other door.
Inside, he saw what looked like a workbench and the remains of a engineer with an interesting looking weapon in his hands and as Steeltrix walked over to the body, he picked up the strange weapon as he looked it over. It was a plasma core with a disruptor head for the barrel, making it like a form of a shotgun that instead of shooting out buckshot, it shot out what could only be described as waves and as Steeltrix put it on his belt, he looked around for more things that could be useful.
He saw a lot of scrap, power cells for various things, a few energy cells for his cutter, and then he found the plasma saw.
He picked up the melee weapon as he swung it around and then he put it on his belt as he looked back over to where Widit was.
He was rummaging around through some crates when Steeltrix walked inside and Widit looked up as he said, "Fund anything useful?"
"A Plasma Disruptor gun, a workbench, not much else though..." Steeltrix said as he looked around.
"Do you think we'll make it to the hangar?" asked Widit.
"Well... I really wish I knew everything about this station..." Steeltrix said a little bit in a downcast tone as he hung his head.
"Well.. wasn't there something about a private hangar on this level?"
The voice of Moonblossom startled them but then Steeltrix asked, "Are you telling the truth? A private Hangar in the slums?"
"I know, sounds kinda controversial but there was someone who did put a hangar on this level... problem is... I don't know where it is..."
Then, Widit suddenly bumped into a console and as it turned on suddenly, Steeltrix walked over as he tapped a few buttons with a hoof. Then the display suddenly, to his surprise since he didn't know how to work one of these things, as the display showed the station and everything inside of it.
"How did you do that?" asked Moonblossom.
"Sheer luck?" confessed Steeltrix.
"Yeah, holy buck, like you have the magical touch..." And then Widit gave a wink.
