Silent space (an MLP fanfic)

Chapter 9

Steeltrix and Turbosky galloped across the snow as they watched the tracers smash down the half-frozen Necromorphs  in their tracks but some got back up anyway and continued towards the small compound. Steeltrix and Turbosky stopped atop a small hill of snow as they fired their weapons down upon the Necromorphs backs and the Necromorphs were cut down and then they ran down as Turbosky cursed as he said, "No more ammo for this guy!" and tossed away his assault rifle to bring up the plasma disruptor as it glowed in the blizzard.

"Who is out there?" came the voice of Solar when Steeltrix answered, "Steeltrix and Turbosky! let us in!!!"

The door to the metal building opened and both ran inside as Widit and Alec both quickly closed and barricaded the door as Solar nearby said with his rifle, "Thank goodness you are here! I was thinking we would get overrun here."

Steeltrix and Turbosky looked around when Turbosky asked, "Where are the others?"

"Scavenging what they can from downstairs." said Solar as he pointed to a nearby staircase.

"I'll go help them." said Turbosky as he galloped down the stairs and Steeltrix said, "Let's get ready for another wave of them, then."

And they all gathered near the windows as they prepared for more of the Necromorphs to appear.

"I think I found some ammo...." said Moonblossom from nearby with her pistol as she looked back to see Turbosky come galloping down the stairs.

The basement level was a mess, full of overturned crates and the blood from dead ponies but as Turbosky looked around, suddenly Fireblaze popped up as he brought up a plasma core as he said, "Found this!"

"Well... at least we aren't scrounging for parts..." muttered Turbosky as he looked over to see Eclipse picking up a Ore Line Cutter as the huge weapon filled his hooves as he muttered, "I hope this thing is worth it."

Minty was looking through some scrap when Turbosky asked her, "Is there an upstairs besides the one level above us?"

"Yes but we can't open it. No power." she said to him.

Turbosky looked around as he then saw a nearby a hallway that lead away from this main room as he saw some blood trail that way and then he looked at them all as he said, "Eclipse, Fireblaze, on me. We're gonna see if the power is still working."

The two ponies looked over and grabbed their weapons as Fireblaze took up the plasma core and some scraps and random weapon parts as he began to build something and then when he was done, he took from the workbench a plasma pulse rifle and as they left the room to Minty and Moonblossom, they began to slowly walk down a dark and quiet corridor.

The ice was slowly forming along the walls and the floor as it was almost invisible had their lights not glinted off the ice that had formed. Fireblaze's wings flapped as he did so instinctively and then as they walked along, they came to two different rooms opposite of one another.

Turboksy came to the left door and as he opened it, he saw that it lead into what looked like a storage room and on the far wall was looked like the energy core holder as he looked around and found some small medkits sitting on the nearby shelves, covered in thin ice and as Turbosky picked the medkits up with his kinesis and put them in his suits pockets as he then said, "Time for the next room."

Fireblaze and Eclipse both nodded and as they approached the next door, it slowly opened to them as they looked inside. Inside there was nothing of interest but the power core was on the floor and as Turbosky picked it up with kinesis, he began to tow it with him as they had just reached the door and had it open when a Necromorph they had not seen before appeared before them.
