Silent space (an MLP fanfic)

Chapter 16

The fire crackling around them brought the group from their unconsciousness as Turbosky looked around and saw five of the guards all shredded up from the crash while he also saw that most of their weapons were nothing more than scrap parts and trashed metal.

Steeltrix woke up and found his plasma cutter nearby and as he got up and picked it up, he looked around him to see what had happened. The five remaining guards were slowly getting up with their pulse rifles up while Turbosky was tossing away his ruined Pulse rifle as he took up his plasma disruptor.

He looked up to see the remains of the track spread out above, having a huge hole blasted in it from something and the train was scattered all around them and was on fire ad as he trotted over to where the others were, Widit, Alec, Solar, Fireblaze, and Eclipse all slowly got up as they looked around with their pulse rifles before Solar said, "Shit, what happened?"

"Look like the tram system took a hit." said a guard nearby as they were spread out in front of the wreckage, crouching behind wreckage as they were prepared for a fight from the Necromorphs.

Minty and Moonblossom soon woke up and as they got up and took up their pulse rifles and as they looked around to see the blood and gore everywhere. They slowly trotted over to where everyone had set up with the guards as Widit then asked, "Well, what now?"

"Well... our mission was to help you in anyway to destroy the Hive... but now that's a bonus objective. Our main mission is to go through where the Hive is and escape these slums.." said a guard as he got up and then waved them on with a hoof as the whole group slowly followed him with weapons up.

The tram station area was long and covered in blood and there was both trash and refuse scattered around with debris and as the group kept themselves together with their weapons up and readied to fire.  Solar's hooves scattered something and he looked down to see some bloodied bones and bits and he gave a face from behind his helmet as he said, "You all said this was a slaughterfest?  This was a complete massacre..."

They came to some escalators that were now simple stairs and as they slowly trotted up it, suddenly there was a huge, loud screech and a horrifically deformed pony with its entire lower torso replaced by a limb with a blade on it and blades, like claws, coming from its front leg hoofs and it roared again as it scuttled towards one of the guards, who raised their pulse rifle and fired a grenade that sailed straight at the Necromorph, which the survivors instantly dubbed a "Crawler", as the grenade sailed through the air and then blasted the thing to bits and pieces as the blood splattered a few of the group but the soldier then said, "Looks pretty clear.. but we'll need to check a map to see where on Equestria we are."

"Agreed." said Moonblossom. " Although I don't know how helpful our navigators will work down here."

Everyone looked at her as one of the soldiers tried to use one of her navigators but found out it didn't do anything and she began to look around increasingly nervously as she said, "Why is this happening?"

"Ever heard of Suicide mission?" suddenly asked Solar.

"Now is not the time!!" said Eclipse when suddenly the mare began to scream as she took off and another guard shouted while raising his hoof, "NO!! DON'T GO ANYWHERE! THESE THINGS WILL-"

Before he could finish what he was saying, the Packer Necromorphs, the filly necromorphs with the claw-like blades, came flooding in from everywhere and before anypony could run and help the mare out, the mare was torn apart as her pulse rifle fired wildly all around her, almost hitting the guards on the top of the stairs, as blood and bits and more went flying just as one of the guards shouted out, "OPEN FIRE!!!"

Pulse rifles screamed out as Packers came charging at them now that their initial prey was completely annihilated and as the bullets began to tear down in droves, the Packers screeched and wailed as their fragile bodies were being completely obliterated and then suddenly from above them all a group of normal adult Necromorphs came crashing down and as the whole group was scattered, Widit screamed as a bone blade took a huge chunk from him as his health meter on his back went from green to a yellow and he reared on the thing as it roared at him just as it's face was blasted to bits, along with its body, from Widit's pulse rifle.
