ARA FELT SOMETHING CHANGE IN THE ATMOSPHERE THE DAYS following, she was happy that they had come to an agreement, but something felt off. She, Harry, and Ron spent much of Sunday catching up with all their homework again, and although this could hardly be called fun, the last burst of autumn sunshine persisted, so rather than sitting hunched over tables in the common room, they took their work outside and lounged in the shade of a large beech tree on the edge of the lake. Hermione, who of course was up to date with all her work, brought more wool outside with her and bewitched her knitting needles so that they flashed and clicked in midair beside her, producing more hats and scarves.

The reason why Ara wasn't really enjoying herself was that Harry had been acting. . .weird, he would barely look over at her, much less speak to her, it was like he was trying to pretend as if she wasn't there. She looked over at him now, seeing him squint his eyes as he read over a question, she tilted her head to the side, pushing her lips into a thin line as she gave a quiet sigh, what was it with him? Perhaps she had said something? But she couldn't recall a moment in which she had said something upsetting. Maybe he was busy thinking about Cho, she thought bitterly, unconsciously letting out a loud scoff.

She saw Hermione turn to her with a raised brow, "what's wrong?" she whispered.

"Nothing. . .just thinking about. . .things," Ara mumbled back, giving Harry one last glance before turning to her parchment once again.

She chose to not overthink the situation, maybe Harry was just overwhelmed by this new organisation and needed some space to get his thoughts together.

The knowledge that they were doing something to resist Umbridge and the Ministry, and that she and Harry were a key part of the rebellion, gave Ara a feeling of immense satisfaction. She was in a better mood on Monday morning, despite the imminent prospect of all her least favourite classes.

Ara and Hermione headed downstairs from their dormitory together, with Ara expressing her concerns about Harry.

"Honestly, he's been weird ever since the Hogshead, he barely talks to me now," Ara rambled, adjusting her jacket irritatedly.

"Really?" said Hermione, her voice unusually high-pitched.

Ara narrowed her eyes at her.

"Do you know something—"

"There they are!" Hermione interrupted, pointing across the common room.

Ara looked over and spotted Harry and Ron along with a small group of people, they were standing in front of a large sign had been affixed to the Gryffindor notice board, so large that it covered everything else on there — the lists of secondhand spell books for sale, the regular reminders of school rules from Argus Filch, the Quidditch team training schedule, the offers to barter certain Chocolate Frog cards for others, the Weasleys' new advertisement for testers, the dates of the Hogsmeade weekends, and the lost and-found notices. The new sign was printed in large black letters and there was a highly official-looking seal at the bottom beside a neat and curly signature.

Ara grabbed Hermione's wrist and they went over to stand behind the boys, Harry and Ron not even noticing them yet. Ara could easily read the sign, seeing as she was quite tall, but Hermione had to stand on her toes.
