After Jessie's break up with Julia she leaned on Niamh. Jessie didn't tell her the full reason why it didn't work out, she made the excuse of long distance and that they were better off as friends. Niamh was worried at first but soon realized that Jessie was fine after the break up. Jessie and Niamh made it a point to go on friend dates whether that was going to get coffee or dinner on a Friday. On one of these Friday nights Niamh forgot that Amy was coming into town and that she would be at the game on Sunday against West Ham. After training on Friday, Jessie went back to her apartment to shower. Jessie has been cherishing these friend dates with Niamh. This time they will be at Niamh's apartment ordering Chinese food and making chocolate chip cookies. Niamh was looking forward towards tonight. Niamh cleaned her kitchen spotless. She set out the ingredients for the cookies. Niamh told Jessie to come over at 5 and to stop by their favorite Chinese place to pick up the food. While Niamh was putting on a pair of sweats and a t-shirt she missed a call from Amy. Amy: I'm gonna get to the apartment around 7:30. Jessie arrived on time as usual with the Chinese food. Niamh had put a table cloth over the dining room table and lit some candles. Jessie and Niamh had a good time talking about their upcoming vacation with Magda and Pernille. Jessie said, "I'm gonna miss having our little family gatherings." "Me too. We'll just have to keep the tradition going" said Niamh. Once they were done eating they were ready to bake cookies. When it came to cooking and baking Jessie was a pro at it while Niamh struggled a bit. Niamh wanted to impress Jessie so she told Jessie that she couldn't help but she could read the instructions to her. Jessie read out loud the instructions. "You need two eggs, two cups of flour, and...." To late Niamh dropped the flour all over the floor. Niamh and Jessie were covered with it. Niamh started to laugh and said "Good thing I bought the break n bake cookies too." While Niamh put the break n bake cookies in the oven, Jessie helped clean up the mess. Knock. Knock. Knock. Both Jessie and Niamh froze. Who could be here at this time of night? Jessie wasn't expecting anyone, Niamh hadn't mentioned a guest coming. Niamh went to open the door and was surprised to see Amy standing there with her suitcase. Amy saw Niamh covered in flour and laughed "bad time?" Jessie also came to the door hollering "Who is it?" Jessie's heart immediately sunk when she realized it was Amy. Niamh said, "I totally forgot you were coming this weekend, I'm sorry. Jessie and I already had dinner and we just made some chocolate chip cookies." Amy liked Jessie, but she quickly became uncomfortable with the idea of her and Niamh being together all the time. Amy said, "I actually ate before I came here." Jessie didn't want to be a third wheel so she tried to excuse herself. "The cookies aren't done yet. What about monopoly?" said Niamh. Amy could tell Niamh wanted Jessie to stay so she said "Jessie you should stay. I'm actually going to go to bed plus I have the whole weekend with Niamh." Jessie stayed and Amy went to bed. While Amy was in bed she could hear the laughter that Jessie and Niamh shared.
On Sunday, Niamh arrived at Kingsmeadow with a chip on her shoulder. Niamh and Amy had an argument about her friendship with Jessie. Niamh understood why Amy was upset on Friday. She forgot that Amy was coming into town, but she planned to spend all of Saturday with just Amy. Niamh didn't even contact Jessie, she knew she would see Jessie today as they both have to play together. Niamh didn't even know if Amy was going to show up for the game as she left early because they had a fight. Niamh would be making her 100th appearance for the club which is a huge milestone. Niamh's family will also be there. Niamh appreciated that Jessie's family reached out to congratulate her. Jessie saw Niamh looked a little down so she went over and gave Niamh an unexpected hug. "Everything alright? Today's a big day for you. I already saw your family in the stands and waved at them." said Jessie. "No, Amy and I had a fight. I don't even know if she's coming." said Niamh. Jessie didn't want to pry information out of Niamh of what led to the fight so she said "Well I'm sorry to hear that. Just know I'm proud of you." Niamh looked at Jessie and in that moment Niamh wanted to kiss Jessie, but decided against it. Instead she pulled Jessie in for a hug and said "Thank you." When Jessie left to go out onto the pitch Magda came over and sat down next to Niamh. "I heard you and Amy had a fight. What was it about?" asked Magda. "Jessie" replied Niamh. Magda understood. Magda saw Jessie and Niamh slowly fall for each other, but at different times. Magda knew they just needed to be on the same page and that's why she decided to only have those two be on vacation with them. Niamh scored a goal in the 35th minute of the game. Jessie was ecstatic for Niamh heck she was shocked that she scored on her 100th appearance. Niamh only wanted to celebrate with Jessie. Amy was in the stands alone and she saw the beautiful goal that Niamh scored. Amy watched Niamh celebrate with Jessie and that's when she knew she doesn't have Niamh's heart, Jessie does.
