Jessie and Niamh had their ups and downs as a couple being long distant. In fact they had one small break up for 3 months back in June 2025 right before the Euro's. To Niamh it looked like Jessie was having a great time in Portland and was getting close to Sam Coffey. Niamh was a bit jealous until she found out the truth of their friendship. Sam messaged Niamh while they were broken up saying "Jessie is miserable without you." Sam: I know part of the reason was me. Jessie helped me through a dark period in my life. We both related to feeling pressure and leaned on each other. Jessie might seem like she's happy in Portland, but I can tell you this she LOVED Chelsea and LOVES YOU. Niamh: I didn't know. I'm gonna make this right. After England won another Euro's Niamh called Jessie up drunk leaving a voicemail. Niamh: I wish you were here to celebrate with me. All I could think of when we won was you and how I messed everything up between us. Having you at Chelsea was the best time of my life and then you were gone. I don't want to be apart any longer. I want to join Portland as my contract expires. I hope you can forgive me. I still love you. Bye. Niamh woke up that morning with the worst hangover, but also remembered she called Jessie. Jessie left a voice message. Jessie: I was thinking the same thing when I saw you won the Euros. I wanted to congratulate you, but didn't know where we stood. I think we need to talk about us when you sober up. I never stopped loving you, Niamh. Just like that Niamh and Jessie were back together once they figured out their problems.
It was announced that Captain Niamh Charles of Chelsea has officially left the club and will be transferring to the Portland Thorns. Jessie was so excited that Niamh and her were gonna be teammates again, but most of all that they will be living together. Jessie couldn't wait to kiss Niamh as it's been a while since they last saw each other. Jessie knew this would be a big change for Niamh as she will be away from her family. When Jessie last visited London for a quick holiday, she had Niamh's siblings distract her so that Jessie could ask permission for Niamh's hand in marriage to her parents. Niamh's parents absolutely love Jessie and was happy that she was going to propose. Since Niamh knew she was going to move to Portland soon, she had Jessie take her things with her. Jessie planned to decorate their apartment full of memories and love. Jessie made a lovely roast dinner with a chocolate cake for desert. Jessie made a rose petal path from the front door to the bedroom. When Niamh walked into the apartment, she was blown away. Jessie got down on one knee and said, "Niamh Louise Charles, You are my best friend. I've wanted nothing more than this, us. We've had our ups and downs, but life without you in it is something I can't imagine. You are it for me. Will you marry me?" Niamh kissed Jessie and said,"Yes, yes, yes, a million times." Jessie and Niamh told their close friends and family that they were engaged. A bunch of Canadians, English, Thorns and Chelsea players congratulated the two in private. Jessie normally likes to keep her life private especially with Niamh, but this was too big to keep a secret. Fans speculated that they were dating but it was never confirmed. With Niamh's permission, Jessie posted a photo of them and said, "She said yes." Niamh followed up with a post saying "Of course I said yes. Love you, Moose." Sam Kerr said "Way to go, Jflem." Magda and Pernille both commented "Love you two!"Jessie was a little embarrassed now that everyone knows Niamh calls her Moose as a nickname, but she's just glad it's finally out in the open that they are a couple.
Jessie and Niamh planned to have their wedding in Niamh's hometown Wirral, Merseyside, England. Jessie and Niamh flew out Jessie's side of the family so they could be there. Niamh and Jessie wanted their wedding to be in the summer before the World Cup. Jessie and Niamh got permission from both Club and Country to miss a few trainings for the wedding and honeymoon. Niamh and Jessie both had their sister's as maid of honors. Jessie's bridesmaids were Charlotte, Janine, Sam, and Pernille. Niamh's bridesmaids were Lauren, Zecira, Esme, and Magda. Both Jessie and Niamh got to spend time with their family and friends before the big day. On June 3rd, 2027, Jessie and Niamh said their I do's. Jessie said "I'll continue to love you on your good days and bad. I'll be the teammate to pick you up when you're down. The love I have for you is unexplainable. You were always the one since I met you." Niamh went next. "I'm never going to let you go. You brought light into my life. I didn't know it, but I was lonely until I met you. I'll forever be yours." Jessie and Niamh kissed, officially married.
Epilogue:
Jessie and Niamh eventually moved back to London and played with Chelsea until they both retired. They settled down and had two children. Jessie was never seen again as she would have wanted it that way. Jessie did go into Canada's Hall of Fame for her accomplishments with the team. Niamh and Jessie raised their kids to be Liverpool fans for the men's team, but Chelsea through and through for the women's team. Jessie got to live her farm life with Niamh and Niamh got to be a PE teacher, then found herself coaching Chelsea's youth teams. They were living the good life.
