It was the first day of senior year and Tara Smith is very excited to see her best friend and meet new people.
Tara also has something in mind she needs to admit to her best friend, but right now she's just ecstatic about her first day.
"Tara!!" Ms Smith calls out from downstairs, wondering why her daughter isn't ready yet on a day she's been preparing for."Oh my god mom, I'm ready" the teen says in a short pink skirt along with a baby tee quoting 'It girl'. Her hair curled paired with a few bracelets and her white forces.
"Is Kayla picking you up?" her mom asks
"Yes she is I'm dying to see her" Tara replies a little too excitedly, with her mom giving her a side eye.
Tara's mom knows she likes girls, but since the summer ended she's been wondering if her daughter is crushing on her friend. She brushes it off handing Tara her breakfast.
HOONKKK HONNKKK!!!!
A very happy Tara jumps up speeding to the front door and out to the car of her best friend. Once she got in they shared a long awaited hug. Kayla has been friends with Tara when she just moved to Springfield over the summer.
Tara was running an errand for her mom when she saw the girl and decided to help her bring a few boxes in, after that they have been inseparable.
Pulling away from Tara's house they put on some Taylor Swift as they're both currently in the 1989 era. Arriving at school they meet up with Tara's friends as Kayla didn't get a chance to meet them all yet.
First there's Samantha who's known Tara since the third grade, then there is Thomas who she met in her freshman year, and last but not least there's Attiana whom she met in the sixth grade. As introductions are given and made the group walked to their lockers which are conveniently close to each others.
The first class of the day is AP English. Samantha,Tara and Kayla has this class while Attiana and Thomas head to Art. As the the English lesson progresses Tara just can't help but admire her best friend who's sitting next to her actually paying attention what the teacher has to say.
Kayla quickly glances over and catches Tara staring and asks "Why're you looking a me like that?" "Looking at you like what" Tara quickly answers trying to divert her attention elsewhere.
"Forget it, maybe I was overthinking it" Kayla states as she returns her attention back to the whiteboard but also couldn't help but think why was Tara ogling her. She wonders if her best friend likes her more than what they have.
What Tara doesn't know is Kayla has been dreaming about doing things with her best friend.*********************************
