Tara's POV

It's been two weeks and Kayla and I have been going good. Tonight she's coming for our weekend sleepover, we haven't had one of those in a while. After I got home from school today I may have done a little too much preparing like buying new lipstick and a new set of pajamas.
My mom is also going out of town to visit my grandfather for their camping tradition. They've been doing those since my mom was 10. Mom stated what we should and shouldn't do while she's away. She said she's gonna call and check in but not too much, she knows we're not careless when it comes to being teenagers.
Giving her hug, her taxi pulls up at our driveway "Bye mom! Tell grandfather I say hi and give him a few kisses for me" I shouted.
"Will do honey, remember be safe and have fun, I'll have the neighbor check in on you. Love you" with that said my mom is off.
I put out a few snacks for the movie and made some fresh popcorn along with a can of ginger ale and Coca Cola.
