Our Unfinished Friendship

The Date

Tara's POV

Our first date is in ten minutes, I showered and got dressed in a summer blue dress as it is still warm and paired it with my white Tory Burch sandals.
   Adding my signature Coconut vanilla scent and necklace. As I descended the stairs my mom looks at me "You look cute, where are you going?" "I don't know Kayla is taking me on a date." I said.
She gasps saying "You forgot to leave out the detail of when you guys decided to start dating." "Mom it happened so fast I let it fly by without telling you but yes I'm dating Kayla and we did kiss. I'm sorry I forgot but don't worry anything exciting you'll be the first to know" after that statement left my lips I hear a familiar car horn. I gave my mom a hug and went outside.
She came out of the car around to the passenger side and held the door open for me, before getting in I gave her a peck on the lips and complimented her "You look and smell so good" "I can say the same for you beautiful".
  
Her calling me beautiful alone had me turn into a wet noodle. We got buckled and went on our way. She put on some SZA and started singing along. She then grabs my hand and kisses it. She continues driving for at-least fifteen minutes pulling up to what looks like a skating ring.
"It's been so long since I came to the skating rink, I used to come here a lot with my mom." I happily squealed. She unbuckled and got out coming around to open my door, when I got out I hugged her and she took my hand in hers.
We entered the skating rink and saw people skating around, mostly couples.
   Walking up to the counter she paid for the couple service and we both got our skates. Entering onto the smooth wooden floor I realized she's not so good at skating so I took her hand in mines and guided her along the sides.
    After she got the hang of it she took control and we both started skating in sync. She then held me from behind and I that set off something in me I didn't know I had. While we were still skating I felt her breath on my ear and I don't know I just feel this fire burning in me. Only to realize I want more of her, but we just started dating I have to take it slow and not scare her away. But I do wanna talk to her about it.
    After skating she told me we had another stop, which I was really excited for because maybe I can then bring up the heat I felt. We drove more towards the highway and she then turned on a dimly lit road. It may sound creepy but it seems safe. At the the end of the road is a little shack where they serve sandwiches and frosty drinks, I've never been here before. In the middle they have a bonfire going in the cool evening.
Kayla got out and opened my door, taking my hand she took us to the front of the shack where they had all kinds of sandwiches. I settled with a chicken sandwich along with a frozen lemonade. Kayla got a BLT and frozen lemon as well. We sat around the fire with our food and began eating.
   I decided it was time I told what I felt at the skating rink, "So you know when we were skating and you were behind me? I felt heated... like I'm not trying to rush us but I wanted you to to trail kisses down my body and take me there." I bravely said. She then set her sandwich beside her and took both my hands "I thought I was doing too much, but now you said that I'm so happy you spoke up and let me know. The smell of your neck had me wanting to devour you." She explains
She then proceeds to ask me "Will you officially be my girlfriend? I wanna start calling you baby and so much more" I stood up and said "Heck yeah I will." She then leans in to kiss me and I do the same, our lips moved like a song and felt more heated than when we first shared a kiss.
  We finished our food and headed back to her car. With her hand tangled in mine she takes me home, and we had our goodnight kiss.

Hey everybody if you like slow books where the suspense is high and filled with drama, it's not really this one. For this one I just already have it planned out as a fast moving short story so it won't be much. I do still thank you for the support. I know y'all are gonna like the next chapter🤫
