Chapter 3

Everyone was back at the station to complete some paperwork.

Angela and Lucy were talking when Morgan walked up to them.

"What do you want, boot?" Lucy asked aggressively.

"You sound like Tim." Angela said.

"That's the point. I even gave her a 'Tim test' except I've renamed them 'Lucy Lessons'." Chen bragged.

"You hated those!" Angela said, trying not to laugh.

"Yeah well, they made me the cop I am."

Angela rolled her eyes and turned towards the rookie who was standing there awkwardly.

"Don't worry, she's really really just a sweetheart." She told Miller.

"Hey!" Lucy exclaimed.

Angela chuckled, giving the rookie a wink before walking off.

"Shift is over, you can get changed and leave now." Lucy told Keira, attempting to maintain her toughness.

"Okay."

"Did I say you could talk?" Lucy asked, then hearing Angela laugh from across the room, knowing she was listening in.

"Just go." Lucy concluded, then walking back over to Angela. "You are not helping!" Lucy said, exasperated.

"Come on, just loosen up on her. I know for a fact that you've gone home crying because of those Tim tests." Angela said.

"How do you know that?" Lucy was embarrassed.

"I know people. Just promise you'll give her a break."

"Fine, but I'm still not going easy on her." Lucy gave in.

"Of course not, their boots, that's the point." Angela said with a cheeky grin.
