Jay fell asleep while watching the movie, resting his head on Aahan's shoulder. Aahan noticed Jay's smile; he looks so innocent when he sleeps, like a little child. Aahan also tried to sleep but couldn't because Jay was leaning on his shoulder. When Jay woke up and looked around, he saw Aahan sitting beside him. Aahan was looking around.
"Cutie! I fell asleep, I should have woken you up. Your shoulder must be hurting, right?" Jay asked.
Aahan pretended to be annoyed and said, "Stop worrying, my shoulder isn't hurting."
Jay looked at his watch and said, "I should go."
Aahan replied, "Okay, let's meet at college tomorrow."
Jay smiled and said, "Yeah, sure. Oh, by the way..."
Aahan looked away from Jay's smile, feeling like someone had stabbed his heart lightly. He looked at Jay and said, turning his gaze away.
"Speak."
"Nothing." (Jay noticed, Aahan looked away while speaking, Jay felt Aahan wasn't interested)
Jay leaves for home, Aahan closes the door, Aahan receives a call,
"Yeah, Mom, tell me."
"Tell Meera that Naina's mom went to a wedding, and I had asked Meera to stay back. Meera doesn't have their number, so she called me."
"Okay, Mom."
Meera comes back tired from the office, Aahan gives Meera a bottle of water. Meera sits on the sofa, holding her head.
Meera is drinking water.
"Thanks, bro."
"Today, Naina's mom went to a wedding, so you have to go to Naina's house..."
(Meera spits out water from her mouth.)
"What? I'm not going, you go." (in anger)
"Mom mentioned your name."
"You know I don't want to meet Naina, tell her to come over here." (Meera said angrily)
"Fine."
Naina called her mother,
"Mom, I'll call Teena, you didn't call anyone, did you?"
"No, I didn't, Meera will come."
"Why?"
"Why? Haven't you grown up? Just quietly listen to me, Teena lives far away, Meera is nearby, she'll stay. You go to her house, lock up your own house."
Aahan messaged Naina. Naina checked her phone.
"Come over, Meera doesn't want to come to your place."
"I won't come either." (Naina replied by typing)
"Your mom will get angry, it's just for one night, come on."
"Okay."
Naina brought books and went to Meera's house.
Aahan's mom also hasn't come home; she's also staying at her aunt's place, so Meera cooked the meal.
"Naina, come, have your meal."
Meera is wearing a light pink salwar suit. She's also eating. She sits beside Aahan. Naina takes the food and starts eating.
Tasting the food, Naina says, "Aahan, this pulao is so delicious." (She says it as if she's tasting the most delicious food from heaven.)
With a faint smile, Aahan holds the spoon of pulao and asks, "Do you like the pulao?"
Meera is eating quietly, behaving as if Naina isn't even there. She doesn't even look towards Naina.
"I love it! My mom makes it so well. I always tell her to let me kiss her hands so that no evil eye falls on them." (Naina says with a big smile)
Aahan grabs Meera's hand and presents it to Naina. "Here, give it a kiss."
Meera pulls her hand back and looks at Aahan with an angry glance. Aahan controls his smile and continues eating.
Naina starts coughing, so forcefully that she can't even go to drink water. Seeing the empty glass, Aahan pours water and then Meera notices tears in Naina's eyes. Meera stands up and pats Naina's back.
When Naina realizes that Meera's hand is on her back, she thinks, "Her hands feel so soft. Why am I becoming addicted to this girl? I shouldn't have come here at all."
Naina's cough subsided. Meera went to her room.
Aahan said, "What's wrong with Dee? Why doesn't she want to talk? It's quite rude."
After finishing her meal, Naina went to Meera's room. Meera was sitting in her room with dim lighting, looking at Naina sitting on the sofa reading a book without squinting.
Meera was working on her laptop.
Naina noticed that Meera's hair was swept to one side, revealing her neck. Naina remembered how Meera had kissed her neck.
Naina thought, "Her neck is so beautiful. I want to touch her neck. I wish we could at least become friends again. This thought is wrong now; Meera doesn't like me back."
Meera noticed that Naina was continuously looking at her.
While typing, Meera said, "Staring at me won't get you good grades. Stop staring."
Naina immediately looked away and said, "I'm sorry."
Naina felt really bad and told herself, "Meera must be thinking about me, how much of a pervert I am. I wish I could read Meera's mind."
Meera kept her laptop aside and lay down on the bed. Naina observed secretly that Meera was asleep, stealing glances while averting her eyes.
Naina thought to herself, "She looks so adorable. I feel like hugging her. How do I control myself? I'm sure I'll do something. I have no control over my thoughts because this dream of being shy and lustful is ingrained in me. It feels terrible to call myself lustful, but what can I do? If I'm like this, what can I do?"
Naina's gaze shifted from Meera's hair to her neck, and she was about to look down then she closed her eyes.
She thought, "I can't do this. I have no right to look at Meera like this. Even if I see, what will happen?"
When Naina opened her eyes, she saw Meera had covered herself with a blanket. Disappointed, Naina placed the book aside and lay down on the sofa.
Meera covered herself with the blanket and opened her eyes. She was thinking.
"I never understood Naina. She loves Lalita, yet she always teases and stares at me. My heart is beating so fast (Meera placed her hand on her chest). Calm down. I hope she doesn't come to the bed, otherwise it will be so difficult for me to stay away from her. Naina, I really like your hands. I want to kiss them. Looking at you holding the book makes me want to be the book. Why? You don't love me. Earlier, you were in a relationship with Aahan, and I never expected anything from you. But now? Why do I want you to talk to me? I want to, but I have to be rude to you, I know, I can't stay friends with you. It will take time, but I have to move on."
Naina, lying on the sofa, asked, "Meera, do you hate me?"
Meera was startled upon hearing the voice.
