Authors note-
Hey guys, okay I feel as though this is a really bad chapter and personally I don't like it. But I really struggled with it and I couldn't think of what to right. I also do apologise for not updating in a while as I mentioned before I have had trouble with this chapter. But please vote and comment, feedback would be appreciated and I would love to know your opinion on this chapter. This is kind of a filler chapter and the next few chapters get more exciting by the way.

I had given my number to Roger before leaving to go to my next class. I felt extremely happy that my feelings were no longer under lock and key. I knew the risks of being with Roger but the truth was I didn't care. Okay, I didn't want Roger to lose his Job and go to jail but in four months we wouldn't have to worry about that, I would be 18 and it wouldn't be illegal for us to be together.
I was late to my next lesson just as expected, but nobody seemed to care. I explained I was with Mr Taylor, talking to him about an 'assignment' I was behind on. Once I mentioned that the teacher immediately lost interest and let me off. We didn't really do much in that lesson either, we completed a work sheet whilst the teacher sat back reading the news paper, too lazy to actually teach and do his job. Lazy bugger.
Next it was lunch and the girls and I spent the whole time sat on the school field, talking about random things. It wasn't very exciting but we did have a good conversation. We had planned for the girls to come over mine after school since my parents would still be in work and nobody would be home.
Lunch seemed to only last for seconds and before I knew it the final lesson of the day had began. The girls and I slowly made our way back into the school building, glad it was last lesson but not looking forward to English one bit. Yep, I had English with the teacher I seemed to always piss off, the girls had different teachers to me and I hated them for that. The last time I was in his class I fell asleep, which led me to having detention.
As soon as I got to his class I went over to my desk, sitting down and getting comfortable, ready to take a well deserved nap. However, I didn't catch one bit of shut eye whilst the lesson progressed. Like always he continued to talk but we had to write notes on what he said....meaning I had no excuse to fall asleep. He blabbered on and on about something or other whilst my hand worked furiously to write everything he spoke down.
Unlike the rest of the day, English seemed to drag and it was extremely boring. After what felt like forever it was over, the school bell rang indicating it was the end of the day and finally I could go home.
Everyone stood up from their desks, grabbing their bags and making their way out of the classroom as fast as possible. Yet I didn't rush, I was feeling extremely lazy plus I knew my teacher would want to talk about the dentition I would have to take for falling asleep in lesson.
The detention system works like this: if you get sent to detention in the day by a teacher you leave the class and go to the room where detention is usually held. A few days later you will be forced to stay behind school for an hour, doing some sort of job to help the school out. Some people have to pick up litter, do the dishes in the canteen; sort things out in classrooms or help teachers with organising things.
I was dreading what job I would be given. I picked up my bag from the floor and stood up from my desk. It was at this moment only me and the teacher remained. He walked up to me, an evil smile on his face...it was really creeping me out.
"I have arranged your detention and on Wednesday you will be washing the dishes in the canteen. Another pupil from your year will be there also, I hope you have fun Miss James" he simply said before turning around and walking off, leaving me upset with the fact I had to wash dishes... I don't even do them at home.
Feeling slightly irritated I left the classroom, making my way to the back doors of the school where I had promised to meet Ellesse and Courtney.
I wasn't surprised to see them already there and waiting, after all I did leave class a little late.
"Hey where have you been?" Ellesse asked as we began walking outside, leaving the school building.
"Urggg, English, teacher had to tell me about my detention" I groaned
"Awe gutting, what do you have to do?"
"On Wednesday I have to wash the bloody dishes in the canteen. Some other kid from our year will be there as well"
"Awe gutting" was both Courtney's and Ellesse's response. I couldn't help but agree, I really wasn't looking forward to this.
We continued walking away from the school, talking and laughing as we made our way home...well to my house anyway.
We walked to my house like snails; it took us 45 minutes to walk home when on average it takes a person 30 minutes. But soon enough we reached my house. Walking the same pace we had been for the whole journey home, we walked up my driveway and to the front door.
I pulled my house key out of my bag, wiggling it into the key hole before turning it. I pushed the door open before pulling out the key. I stepped into the house, the girls following me and closing the door behind them.
It was as though they lived here too....literally they made themselves right at home. Like normal I walked upstairs and to my room, dumping my bag and jacket on my bed, the girls copying my actions again.
I took a seat on the floor, hoping the girls would copy and they did. We sat in a circle and began to talk...
"Soo you and Joe, when did it happen?" I asked, feeling nosey but wanting to know every detail
"Well after I left here Saturday, I felt like shit....but that afternoon he rang the house and we talked and well it just happened" she said, smiling and staring into space as though she was looking back on Saturdays events. I smiled, glad she was happy.
I opened my mouth to say something but was cut off by the telephone ringing. I got up from the floor and ran back down stairs to the kitchen, where the phone was located. Rushing through the kitchen I reached for the phone, picking it up and speaking...
"Hello?"
"Hey, Jess its Roger" I heard him speak from the other end of the line, a smile crept across my face
"Hey Rog"
"Hey, soo I heard you have detention Wednesday" he said
"Yeah, gutting I know....I'm not looking forward to it at all"
"Aww it'll be okay, I know the teacher who's supervising it"
"Who?"
"I can't say" he teased
"Tell meeee"
"Well, he's young and handsome and plays drums...." his voice trailed off and I thought I was going to jump in joy at realizing it is him who will be supervising
"It's you" I said, possibly a bit too enthusiastically
"It's me" he mocked, causing us both to laugh.
"Anyway how are you?" he asked
"I'm good, how are you?"
"I'm good to, better now I have spoken to you" I smiled, a slight blush creeping upon my cheeks. Feeling glad Roger couldn't see.
"Ohhh Rog is that your girlfriend" I heard a distant shout on the other line, followed by roger shouting
"Shut up Freddie"
"No need to get defensive my dear" was the response he got from Freddie, I couldn't help but giggle. The shouting continued and I could no longer hear Roger on the phone. Minutes later shuffling could be heard and a gentle voice sounded through the phone
"Jess isn't it?"
"Yeah that's me"
"Hey it's john. Umm right now Roger and Freddie are kinda wrestling around on the floor...."
"Roger get off my hair" I heard Freddie shout. I couldn't help but laugh
"Guys stop that, jess is still on the phone.... no stop, sorry jess I have to go" john shouted and said, with that the phone line died, leaving me completely confused and entertained. But hey at least I could look forward to detention now.
