Where am I? Am I alive? Is this heaven? It smells like hell though. Am I in HELL!?!??!

I opened my eyes slowly to some commotion noises, it sounded like at least 20 babies crying together. Am I in some nursery? Did I time travel? or was killed by that Barbooza or whoever that villain was?

"Hey! Wake up!" I heard a beautiful voice saying that above me, I looked up to see a very beautiful girl around my age, her hair tied in a ponytail, big glasses on her nose, totally focused on her work, exactly my style.

"Hi there beautiful." I called her.

"I think he is having concussions." she said to someone in front of her.

My Biology teacher came forward looked at me once and said, " Nop, he is generally like that." and went away.

"Wow! Another stupid superhero, like we don't have enough on our plate already." she said huffing, she looks really cute like this.

"You know I am a superhero! I may look a little dumb but have you seen me in action? I can jump really high and have so much strength, I can even run very fast. It's not like I like to brag but being a superhero is a big deal. And being a superhero on top of a straight-A student! People can only describe that as impossible." I ranted trying and failing to even take her gaze away from her tab.

"You get straight As because of your powers otherwise you were just an average student." she spoke the bitter truth with not even an ounce of emotion. OUCH! Just my style.

"But my good looks are totally natural." I boasted, posing to show my extra sharp jawline.

She finally looked at me, up and down, she didn't seem impressed at all, just my style.

"Totally natural, just not good looking though." she said angrily and walked away with her lab coat flowing behind her as she marched into another room.

"Now can I have your attention, if you are done flirting." My sir called me. I looked around for the first time since I got here. It looked like I was on a hospital bed but the room looked like a chemistry lab, with bubbling flasks. There were doors on all the walls, some transparent and some opaque.

"So where am I?" I asked him.

"Glad you finally asked, I thought you were so busy with Hope that you wouldn't even see anything else."

"Hope? Is that her name? Wow, such a pretty name. Henry weds Hope, won't that look pretty on a wedding card?" I said dreamily.

"Hold your horses, young man, firstly, we are here on a mission and second she doesn't date." He warned.

"But why won't she date?"  I said, throwing a tantrum, and pouting.

"So about the mission," he said totally ignoring my earlier question. " We just found out, our labs were infected by a virus, it's a very unique virus, not from Earth. We suspect alien activity and antidotes of such viruses are very difficult to make on Earth. So all in all, we have to go outer space, confirm who did that, eliminate that supervillain, and treat all the officers."

"Officer?" I asked, he just sighed tiredly.

"We are a secret superhero society that manages the superheroes and activates their inner powers and sometimes even gives powers to ordinary people making them superheroes. Recently, alien activities increased on Earth, so some of the agents were out in space, when they returned they found all the agents here affected by some sort of virus, which is making them act weird." he finishes.

"How weird are we talking about here?" I asked.

"They sometimes act like kids, lunatics and mostly 'Ducks'"

"Ducks? Wow! Where are they, I wanna see too." I asked excitedly.

"That's not why you are here. You will be on the fighting team. I'll show you all the people on your team. One team is finding a cure right now and the others are looking after the lunatic officer. Any questions?"

"I wanna see the officers." I insisted.

"Later, let's meet your team first." He said, rejecting my proposal.

"No, I'll look at the officers first." I stood my ground.

He stared at me with his teacher's eyes. Trying to intimidate me but I stood my ground, I wouldn't do anything until or unless they showed me the lunatic agents.

In the end, he sighed and agreed, as he should. Seriously it should be important for the superhero to see the victims.

I entered the room full of agents after passing through many confusing doors. It finally opened to the area where several grown adult men and women were roaming around, some crying until a group of youngsters came rushing with milk bottles, some roaming around imitating ducks, and some just destroying all the machines in their hand range.

I couldn't help but laugh out loud at the situation before me, so much for being a secret superhero Association, they look like a mess.

I roamed around as everyone hustled past me trying to babysit the non-babies. Just as the front gate opened and an angel, I mean Hope came in, her tab in hand and her lab coat hung on her elbow, looking weary. Poor Hope must be having a hard time.

"Pity yourself." she snapped at me, angrily.

"Wait, can you read minds or something?" I asked horrified.

"That was clearly written on your face." she huffed.

I schooled my expressions and gave her a smile trying to continue having a good conversation with my future wife.

Suddenly, like the heavens heard me and hated my intentions, the whole room started shaking!

Oh No this doesn't look good.
