I don't know how else to describe this feeling that I am feeling.
The endless nights spent wandering, yearning.
Yearning for you.
My mind has already accepted that you are not coming back.
My heart, oh my heart hasn't.
It stills beats, clear as day.
Clear as the day I met you.
It beats against my chest with such ferociousness that I fear it'll tear through my flesh.
It beats thunderously against my ribs and I'm left with this overwhelming amount of sorrow.
Maybe it's not sorrow that I am feeling.
It's grief.
It's grief and anguish for what once was.
