Authors pov :

Ari was busy decorating the table when she heard the doorbell. She quickly set the table and went to open it .

There she  saw a man of Ross's height with dark brown hair ,deep ombre eyes shining brightly just like his smile he was handsome well not better than Ross said her subconscious she cleared her throat and just as she was about to greet him he suprised her by hugging her tightly .

"Sister in law good afternoonnnn thankyou for having me here." suprised by sudden gesture Arianna stood still it was ages since someone hugged her willingly and that too a man she didn't knew .

Ross decended down the stairs as he heard the ringbwll and saw David hugging his wife yeah his wife . He didn't knew why he grew irritated by seeing them hugging and so close to each other he cleared his throat and said " let her breath you moron".

David rolled his eyes" well hello to you to my best friend." As he steeped into the house and gave bouquet of lilies to Arianna "a beautiful present for my beautiful sister in law".

Arianna blushed with the compliment and accepted the bouquet with a beautiful shy  smile saying "thankyou um - "
"David sister in law the name of this handsome man is David ".

David said while flipping his hair and winking at her .

"Stop flirting" Ross said while dragging David away from Arianna and making him sit at dining table .

Arianna watched as both of them bickkered and smiled at the great bond they shared.

After taking the first bite David moaned and said "ohh myygod you are the greatest chef sister in law i am in love with your food" while taking her hands and kissing it .

For which he got a smack from Ross "stop flirting David go find someone else "he said glaring at him .

David smiled internally he was doing this internally to confirm one thing .

Just as Ross was about to say something his phone rang he excused himself.

Meanwhile , David's kindness and cheerfulness brought happiness tears in ari's eyes .

For the first time someone appreciated her David stopped blabbering when he saw some unshed tears in Arianna's eyes. 

He grew worried "shit sister in law what happened did I do something wrong ,oh my god I always say unccessary things I would have made you uncomfortable sorry sister in law "he said worriedly .

Listening to his words ari chuckled and said slowly "no you didn't made me uncomfortable it's just - what happened? Sister in law you can tell me did Ross did something tell me I can smack his head for you "

Chuckling ari said "no no it's just for the first time someone liked my cooking "she said looking at her lap meekly .

"Nonsense you are like the cooking goodess your food is really tasty people are fools if they haven't appreciated it yet ". He said smiling .

His words brought a smile to Ari's face "thankyou Mr David ".

"ouch you hurt me sister in law he said faking a cry call me David or anything you like skip formalities".

"From today onwards we are friends". he said bringing his hand forward for handshake smiling she shook it friends .

"Can um I call you dave ?"She was met with silence.

"oh no I am sorry if you don't like it i shouldn't have- she was cut off by David  hugging her and  exclaiming

"noooo  I love it I was just so shocked as no one ever gave me a sweet nickname like that before thankyou so much ".

" Hmm he wondered with a finger on his chin "you have me such a sweet name lemme also give you one "

"Ah ari how about it sister in law ?" Arianna's eyes glistened again as she remembered the name she was called by Austin her brother . ''Oh no sorry did i mess up again oh god" . He was cut short by Arianna hugging him that caught him by suprise" thankyou so much I love it thankyou so much for being my friend I never - "

"it's okay I understand it i am very glad to be you friend ari "he smiled .

They heard someone clear there throat and saw Ross standing there with his jaw clenched and glaring at David .

This guy was really getting on his nerves he said" I want to talk to you David in study room now" .

"Excuse me sister in law i will be back soon".  She nooded with a smile.

"Sure".

In the study room Ross hitted David on head" what were you doing down there getting all touchy with her" .

"Why she's my sister in law and now my friend too Mr jealous husband" he smiled and smirked answering to him .

Ross rolled his eyes he was doin it deliberately to get on his nerves . But I loved her dude she's great . "What do mean by love?".

"Woah woah Mr jealous relax I like her in a friendly way she's like a sister to me"

Ross nooded and answered "I am not jealous".

"Sure you are I saw how hard you were glaring me back there."

" So what was I suppose to do you were getting all touchy with my wife-"

"so you finally like her accepted her huh he said teasingly .

Ross cleared his throat and answered looking away .

"no it's just I have decided to give this marriage a chance"

"dude that's great I am sure you two gonna be a lovely - "

"there won't be any love she's nice and my responsibility that's it.  No love involved."

" sure dude believe what you want but I am sure you gonnabe soon a lovesick puppy "with that Ross smashed him again playfully on head .

"Dude you should  stop hitting me I will complain to my sister in law."

"Sure try your luck let's see whose side she will take her husband or the man she only met today"he smirked and said. 

"You are so mean man" .

"Stop being dramatic".

Few hours they discussed business & in between bickered with each other .

Soon it was time for David to go .

He went and hugged Arriana and said" bye ari thankyou for the beautiful day and food it was nice meeting you".

"The pleasure was all mine dave do come again "she said smiling towards him .

He sure is a charmer Ross thought as he saw his wife with a faint blush on her cheeks  so pure he thought .

His thoughts were  broken when he saw David kissing his wife's hand this guy was doin it on purpose to make him irritate .

"Go away now David it's late
already. "

Chuckling he said" ari be careful of your jealous husband take care will come soon bye Mr jealous "he said walking out towards his car.

Ross was  confused Why was he getting irritated if David did all things it's not he liked her or something or did he?

His own feelings confused him .

Meanwhile ari stood confused to why was dave calling Ross jealous .

Surely he wasn't jealous why would he be, it's not even that he likes her or something like that . Right ?
She thought .
