Chapter 40 (End)

Authors pov -

Ari's mind buzzed with curiosity as they drove through the quiet streets, the soft hum of the car and the rhythmic beating of her heart the only sounds she could focus on.

She kept glancing at Ross, who seemed so calm and collected, but his hand, warm and firm around hers, offered an unspoken reassurance.

Soon Ross slowed the car as they approached a lush, green park.

As they both got off ari was mesmerized by the beauty of nature in front of her .

Large trees towered above them, their branches swaying gently in the breeze. The vibrant colors of the flowers in bloom added a touch of magic to the serene landscape.

Ari inhaled deeply, the fresh air filling her lungs as she followed Ross down the winding path.

Her eyes darted nervously around, unsure of what to expect. It had been weeks since she’d felt this calm .
"Wh-where are we going ross ?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper, betraying the uncertainty in her mind.

Ross smiled at her, his gaze soft yet intense. "You'll see princess ," he said, his tone reassuring .

He squeezed her hand gently, and the warmth of his touch made her stomach flutter, though worry  lingered in the back of her mind.

They reached a clearing, where a small wooden bench sat under the shade of an ancient oak tree. But it wasn't the bench that caught Ari’s attention.

It was the large white blanket spread out on the grass nearby, with a picnic basket set beside it. The sight made her stop in her tracks, a mix of confusion and intrigue swirling inside her.

"Ross…" She stammered, her words as she looked up at ross confused by all it .

Before he could respond, the soft sound of footsteps approached, and she turned in surprise.

There, standing at the edge of the clearing, were Austin, David , and Jules. Ari blinked in confusion, unable to process the sudden appearance of her brother and little brother in such a peaceful, unexpected setting.

"Timmy bro, dave, Jules wh-what are you-?" Ari asked, suprised to see them both over there .

Ross turned to face her fully, his expression more serious now, yet there was something in his eyes—something deep, full of emotion. “Arianna…” he began softly, “I know I’ve hurt you, and I’ve done things that can’t be easily forgiven. But I want you to know that I- I love you  princess . I want to make things right."

Ari’s heart stuttered in her chest hearing those three words from him she always wanted to hear . Her thoughts were racing, her mind foggy from the weight of his words.

“Ross, I…” She faltered, her eyes glistening with the threat of tears. Her voice was barely audible.

But before she could say more, Ross knelt down in front of her, taking both of her hands into his. Her breath caught in her throat as he looked up at her with a vulnerability she hadn’t seen before.

“Ariamna  will you marry me again will you give us a chance ?” he asked, his voice steady but filled with emotion, as he pulled a small velvet box from his pocket and opened it to reveal a sparkling ring.

Ari’s chest tightened. The world seemed to slow as she stared at the ring, at Ross, and then back at the familiar, loving faces of her family. She wanted to say something, anything, but the words caught in her throat, her heart a tangled mess of hope and fear.

Jules bounced excitedly behind her, his wide eyes full of innocence and joy. “Say yeshh, sis Say yehhs!” he giggled, tugging at her sleeve.

Ari turned to her brother Austin, who gave her a warm smile, his eyes filled with understanding and encouragement.

“Take your time,” Austin said gently. “i am with you , no matter whatever decision you take .”

Ari’s breath wavered as she looked back at Ross. His expression was filled with patience, hope, and a quiet longing. The weight of everything they had been through seemed to press on her chest, yet in this moment, with the sun setting behind the trees and her family around her, she felt a flicker of something she hadn’t felt in a long time—a glimmer of hope.

She took a deep breath, her hands trembling as she placed them over her heart. Slowly, she nodded, the decision becoming clearer, the fear easing just a little.

“Yes,” she whispered, her voice fragile but sincere. “Yes, Ross, I’ll marry you again.”

Ross’s face lit up, a smile breaking through his guarded expression, and he slipped the ring onto her finger.

"Thankyou so much ari , I will not disappoint you princess i promise" as he touched his forehead with hers looking with eyes full of love .

Ari's eyes glistened with tears oh how much she wanted his love her heart was  happy finally everything was falling in place she got her love she got her family nothing could be more better than this .

Ross wiped ari's tears" Don't cry princess, everything is alright now " he said smiling.

"I love you Arianna Martin" he said grabbing her by waist and nuzzling his face in her neck , making her blush .

"I-i uh-

"You what princess ?" Ross grinned teasing her further but his heart yearned to hear those words from her beautiful voice .

"Say it say it " Jules said in his tiny baby voice with dave saying it with him .

Chuckling ross turned towards her and shot up his eyebrows waiting for her response.

"I i -love you too Ross " she said shyly .

The next moment ross captured her mouth in a gentle kiss suprising her . 
She slowly responded .

"I can't wait to marry you again and have you all to myself sweetheart  " he said whispering in her ear making her go all red .

Jules ran over to hug his sis happy for her , and Austin wrapped an arm around her, offering her the silent support she had always needed. Dave congratulations them . "Arii I am so happy for you feel free to come to me if you get bored from this grumpy guy . Your dave will keep you happy" he said making everyone chuckle and ross glaring at him .

In that moment, surrounded by the people she loved, she felt like maybe—just maybe—it was all meant to be .

Ross was her true love she got him in the end . In the end everything was worth it afterall .

Fate proved to her when she was on verge of losing hope that- 

"True love never dies" .
