Unknown POV

I was trying to go to sleep in my bed, but I couldn't. I was restless, I feel like something is going to happen. And it doesn't feel good.

From in my house, I heard a distant cry. What was that? I grabbed my armor and sword and went outside to investigate.

The stars shone in the sky in the night as I walked towards the cries. When I got to the source of it, there were a huge army of monsters surrounding a boy.

He was slowly slumping to the floor, dying. I had to save him! I fought my way through the monsters and stood in front of him. I looked back at the boy and he was unconscious, but still alive. I killed a few more monsters and picked him up.

The monsters saw me do so, and started running after me. I ran with the boy in my arms all the way to my house. I shut the door quickly behind me as I arrived at my house.

I quickly crafted another bed and laid the boy down in the bed. I lay down in the one next to him and fell asleep.

Steve's POV

I felt the morning light hit me as I stretched out in a bed. A bed? Was I in heaven?

My eyes opened. I was in a house, and a person was sleeping in a bed next to me. Does he help Herobrine? I don't really want to find out. I backed away from him, and started to snoop around the house.

Nothing really looked suspicious. He had a bunch of chests that had weapons and food. I grabbed some cakes and meat. Forget about the bread.

I set down the cake and started devouring it, until I heard voice.

"What are you doing?"

I whirled around and saw it was the guy! I quickly grabbed a sword out of the chest and held it up.

"Do you work for Herobrine?" I asked him, sword threatening to stab.

His face turned serious. "No way dude, I hate that guy. He's the jerk that got me into this mess."

"So you don't work for him?" I asked.

He shook his head. "I'm Ashton Snapp," he said, holding out his hand. "I saved your life."

I was speechless. "Thank you..." I choked out.

"It was no problem," Ashton said. "So, what's your story?"

"What do you mean?" I asked him.

"Well, I was the only human in this world until recently, so something brought you here," he said. "What did?"

"Where do I begin...?" I murmured.

I told Ashton everything, about how I got sucked into the Kinect, Hayden my new neighbor was Herobrine, how I got thrown in here.

"Wow," he said. "So that's what happened to Steve... I mean you."

"What's your story?" I asked him.

"Okay, so you know the App version of Minecraft?" Ashton asked me.

I nodded.

"One day I got on it, and Herobrine was on it. I whacked him in the head with a sword, and he felt threatened by me. So he found me and threw me in my laptop."

"I wonder why he felt threatened," I said.

"I have no idea," he said. "Maybe because I hurt him? I guess he felt scared that I could hurt him."

"I can't hurt him," I said. "I don't think anyone could if they tried."

"Maybe I'm just that cool," he said and laughed. I did too.

"I guess I'd best be going now," I said.

"Wait!" Ashton said. "Don't you want to travel with me?"

"I would like to," I said. "But monsters come out at night and attack me in armies. I don't want to put you in jeopardy."

"That's okay," he said. "You're the first company I've had in months! Who cares if more monsters attack us! I got weapons!"

"Fine," I said. "I'll stay. But don't come crying to me if I kill you!"

"I won't be able to," Ashton said. "I'll be dead!"

We laughed. "So we are a team now?" he asked me.

"Yup," I said.

And we fist palmed.
