Sad to admit but in the beginning I wasn't the biggest fan of Takemichi but the more I read the manga the more I realised how incredible of a character he was. I fell in love with the series because as much as it started as a love story, as it went it turned into a different kind of love. And watching how much Takemichi suffered just to save the ones he loves, his girlfriend and friends made me love his character.
