A bad feeling - Chifuyu

Chifuyu told you about some fight they had tonight but something seemed off, he seemed off.

You tried to get more information from him but he was tight lipped, only giving you the barest of information.

"Don't go" you said quietly grabbing his hand to hold him in place.

"I have to, it'll be fine and I'll be home in no time" he said running his thumb along your cheek. Trying to reassure you but you could see the unease in his eyes.

"Why does it feel like you're lying? I can't loose you Fuyu" you leaned into his hand and he gave a heavy sigh.

"Your not going to loose me, I'll do this, then we'll watch movies and enjoy Christmas together ok" he gave a small smile before kissing your forehead and walking out. You stood there for a minute watching the door and biting your nails.

There was only one other time you'd felt so nervous about him fighting.

That was the fight where Baji died.

You tried to shove the feelings down but the anxiety only grew. Building until you couldn't sit still anymore. Grabbing your coat you set off into the snowy night.

You had no idea where the fight was but you couldn't sit at home any longer, hoping that maybe you would find him, know for sure he was okay.

It wasn't long before you heard a bike, looking back you saw a bike you recognised as Mitsuya's. He seemed to recognise you at the same moment and pulled over.

"What are you doing out Y/n?" He asked gently but you could tell something was wrong.

"Chifuyu said there was a fight tonight, I have a really bad feeling Mitsuya" you confided and he looked to the road before him, his mouth a thin line.

"He'll be fine Y/N, I'm on my way to the fight now and I promise, I'll make sure he's okay. Now go home so you can be ready for him to return" he gave you a reassuring smile that did nothing to quell the storm inside you.

"Mitsuya please, last time I felt like this Baji died" you begged, hugging yourself against the chill that had settled in your bones.

You watched his hesitation, his unease at the situation.

"I'm not going home until I know he's okay," you added, turning and continuing to walk, Mitsuya was travelling this direction so it was a start.

"Wait!" Mitsuya cursed himself before telling you to get on his bike. He didn't want to take you, but he knew it might be worse to leave you aimlessly wondering the streets. They could protect you if you were with them.

You didn't hesitate jumping on and holding his shoulders as he gunned it down the street. Before long you arrived at a church.

"Your fighting in a church? Pretty sure that's sacrilegious" you gave a nervous chuckle the pit in your stomach growing. Mitsuya was quiet walking up the steps stopping near the top.

"Whatever you do, don't get involved okay?" He demanded and you stuttered before nodding. He was on edge and you'd never seen him like this, just what kind of trouble were they in?

Reaching the top of the stairs you heard a muffled yell, turning to the noise you saw Chifuyu tied to a pole with a gag in his mouth.

"Chifuyu!" You yelled dropping to your feet and quickly pulling the fabric from his mouth.

"Y/N?! What are you doing here!" He yelled frantically as you untied him.

"I knew something was wrong, I couldn't ignore it" your words came quickly, your heart beat in your throat as you surveyed him. He was beaten and left to freeze, you blood running cold at the thought. When he was free he shot to his feet pulling you into his chest, hand tangled in the back of your hair the other holding your waist and keeping you close.

"Y/n, my y/n, you can't be here" he panicked looking around, trying to figure out how to get you out of here. He couldn't leave Takemichi alone either.

"Go my love, I'll wait out here" you said seeing his internal struggle. You knew others were inside and some of the anxiety had eased.

"I can't leave you out here" he sighed his forehead dropping against yours, you leaned up kissing him which made him blush.

"Protect your friends, I'll be fine" you smiled, pulling out of his grasp. He still struggled but you pushed him towards the doors.

He didn't realised you'd stolen his phone.
"Stay out of sight" he begged and you nodded as he reluctantly ran inside.

Once he was inside you pulled out the phone going through the contacts until you came across the name you were searching for.

"Mikey?" You asked, he picked up after two rings.

"Y/n? Are you okay? Where's Chifuyu?" He asked calmly, you took a shakey breath giving him your location.

"Please Mikey, something doesn't feel right" he promised to get there quickly and he did.

"Kenny, keep Y/n safe" he instructed before entering the church, you looked to Ken who tried to pat your head in a reassuring way. The moment interrupted by an advancing army of Balck Dragon members.

"Draken- there's to many" you said quietly stepping back as he stepped forward grinning.

"Just stay back Y/n, I got this" he cracked his neck and his knuckles going to his own war.

You couldn't watch instead crouching behind a wall and blocking your ears, trying to block out the sounds and praying all your friends and your boyfriend would be okay.

It felt like forever until the church opened again. You didn't move afraid of who would exit first.

Some giant hulk of a man, followed by Takemichi and finally Chifuyu, he was beaten worse than before but was cheering at Drakens victory. Somehow that boy had taken down every member of the Black Dragons.

His smiling face surveyed the area looking for you and when your eyes locked you were running. Launching yourself into his arms. He caught your despite his injuries laughing and holding you as close as he could. Light kisses trailing your cheek.

"I'm okay baby, I'm okay" he repeated,

"Y/n?" A voice asked quietly, you slowly turned but Chifuyu kept his arms around your waist.

Mikey stood behind you and when you faced him he bowed.

"Thank you for calling me" he said before standing again with a smile and patting your head.

"Wait you called him? How?" Chifuyu asked confused. With a sheepish smile you returned his phone,

"Thank you for coming Mikey" you bowed in return before he walked away joining his other friends.

"What would I do without you?" Chifuyu asked with a smile, looking at you adoringly.

"Who knows," you smiled back finally feeling relief, the anxiety that riddled you slowly leaving. Sure Chifuyu was hurt but he was safe, he was okay.

"I love you" he said kissing your forehead as you wrapped your arms around his middle.

"I love you to" you smiled snuggling into him.
