Why didn't he just ignore me? "Uhm,... yeah, I moved here a couple of weeks ago..."
"Ahhh, you're the daughter who always couldn't come."
"Yup, so you locked yourself out?"
"Seems so... What's your name?"
"Juliette, and you?"
"Elijah."
"Cool, cool... so what do you do now?"
"My brother is asleep so I have to wake him up 'cause I don't wanna sleep outside, you know."
"Yeah..., okay, I should head inside. See you around... I think."
Okay, that was weird. I hope he didn't see my teary face. But I'm really tired now. I think I'll have a good sleep now.
After this long night, I woke up from the sun shining right in my face. Mom is at work because it's already 11:56 a.m. but Gavin should be at home. Maybe he has made a big breakfast, as I'm hoping for.
"Oh, you're finally awake. It's almost twelve. I got breakfast but also ate it, so no food, sorry, but you can just get something yourself. Oh, and Eden is coming over in like ten minutes." Ugh. I hate when people come over when I just woke up. I'm so hungry, but I'm too lazy to get something. But I have to because my lovely brother ate everything. Great. I'm in my pajamas, which is just jogging pants and a sleep shirt—no cute heart little pj because, let's be real, old shirts are the best to sleep in.
[No judgment to cute heart pj girls <33]
I go upstairs to get my phone and headphones and then head out. It's so warm that I don't need a jacket. Today it's so sunny. I just love it when there is no cloud in the sky. It just brightens up my mood.I'm standing in the cereal aisle, unable to decide what cereal I should take. I decided on the chocolate chip one 'cause they never fail. Since I have a bit of a craving for fruit, I go to the fruit section. There I pack strawberries, bananas, pineapple, and kiwis. These fruits are just the best.
At home, I unpack my groceries and am just about to make my cereal but then I realize that I haven't bought any milk. Gosh, am I that dumb? Should I walk to the grocery store again or just eat the chocolate chips without any milk... ahhh... okay, today is a good day I say to myself... so of course, I go to the grocery store. I grab my keys and money and head out.
Halfway there I notice I forgot my phone but it doesn't matter I just want some milk.
As I was about to pay, I realized that the money is not in my pocket. Jesus, this day is testing me. "Oh... uh... the money was just there like a minute ago..." yeah, this cashier didn't believe me. Why should he? "Okay,...-" why the fuck are tears in my eyes "I'll probably leave the milk there then-""It's okay, I can pay for her." Oh really, how kind of him, I look at the man and oh... damn of course it's the boy from yesterday. "Oh, uh... thanks, I guess." Smiling through the pain they say. "Yeah, just milk, nothing to cry over." Hey, man, what the hell, you just can't say this... "Hey, I don't even cry... it was just a tear like when you yawn a tear gets out of your eye. Or you just don't yawn."
"What did you say?" We are heading out and yeah, in the same direction because we live next to each other. Man, why don't I have my phone in these kinds of moments? He clearly saw I cried. But sorry, these days have been hard, like why would he say something to a stranger...? Okay, I don't have to justify that. He's a bit faster than me so I can get a full view of him. I mean he's not ugly. He has brown hair, is clearly taller than me and has a good physique. What is he doing for that ass? Damn... "Can you stop staring at me? It's getting awkward."
"Excuse me? I just looked for a sec at you don't make it a big thing, not everyone is in love with you, Mr. Stranger."
"You scanned me I felt it and we're not strangers we even know each other's name, Juliette."
