The forgotten key

Chapter 10

Okay, what just happend.?!
I mean I kissed Elijah and not just a light smug. Fuck was I to harsh..? But he was into it too.  Is this friendship now ruined ? Do I regret it..? So many questions in my mind. After I got home of course no one was there I headed strayed to my room.

And now I wait for Pen answering her phone.
"Yeah? What's up" she ask with a questioning voice.
"I made out with Elijah, you know the guy who I went to the beach, party even to go to school with him."
"Is that a bad thing?"
"I don't know, I mean we had a good friendship like we had so good conversations and that."
"Do you regret it?"
"I don't know that's the thing what do you think about that."
"You both kissed and he could've said that he just sees you in as a friend."
"Yeah I guess but it's going to be awkward because what are we now"
"I guess you have to talk with him about this"
"Yeah I know."

"Okay but important question.., was he good?"
"Yeah omg it was sooo good."
"Tell me how that happend"
"Okay, so we watched a movie than he fell asleep than he woke up and than we picked a second movie aaaand than we kissed."
"Uhh but how was the situation who kissed whom.?"
"So like our arms and legs brushed against each other while we picked a movie, he played with my hair and I looked to him and he already smiled at me with like a playful expression on his face. Then our faces were so close that our lips almost touched. And than he kissed me and we made out. But the thing is that his mother came in but she didn't saw us."

"Okay woow sounds so cute but not the mother."
"Yeah I know and I think what would've happened if she didn't came in, if you know what I mean."
"I don't know but what did he did after? Said something to you?"
"No I made a lie to get out of the situation. His mother even wanted me to stay."
"Uh now I like her, but why did you gooo?"
"Penny I don't really know, should've I stay?"
"Yeah definitely now it looks like you think it was a mistake."
"Fuck you really think?"
"Yeah definitely."
"What do I do now???"
"You need to talk with him."
"I know I know but when? Like today or tomorrow or next week???"
"I mean how fast as you can. You really need to talk with him about this."
"Yeah I guess..."

A minute no one talked.

"Soo any new updates with your boy?"
"We had sex."
"Uh okay pen that was.., okayyyy. How do you feel? How was it??"
"I was a little nervous at the beginning but he was so gentle with me and said he don't want to rush anything."
"Wow so romantic."
"Yeah and it was good I have to say..."
"I hope so, my beautiful friend you deserve just the best."

We talked like a hour and ended the call because Jessiah called her. But I guess I really have to talk to Eli about that. In the same second I thought about that  his name popped up on my screen.

Eli: Wanna talk?
Me: Yeah sure. You can come over.

A minute later Eli stands in my doorway, and I can feel my heart racing. The past few hours have been a whirlwind of emotions and thoughts, and now's he's here, ready for the conversation I've been dreading.

"Hey", I say, my voice trembling slightly.
"Hey", he replies, his eyes scanning my face.

I step aside to let him in. We walk up to my room in silence, the air so thick that I can feel it. Once we're inside, I close the door and lean against it, trying to gather my thoughts.

"So," Eli begins, looking at me with a mixture of anxiety and concern. "About the kiss... I think we need to talk about what happened."

"Yeah, we do" I agree, my voice more uncertain than I'd like. "I just ... I don't know what to think, Eli. It all happens so fast."
