As Brianna and Zephyr engaged in conversation, Brianna's flirtatious banter became more evident. "You know, Enzo," she purred, "there's something about you that's quite captivating." Zephyr, maintaining his guise as the enigmatic mafia figure, flashed a charming smile. "Ah, it's just my rugged charm," he quipped, playing along with Brianna's advances. Brianna leaned in closer, her gaze lingering on Zephyr. "Well, I must say, I'm intrigued," she murmured, her tone suggestive. Zephyr, though internally wary, reciprocated her flirtation, keeping up the façade. "Perhaps we should continue this conversation in a more private setting," he suggested smoothly.

Valencia, observing from a distance, felt a surge of irritation and jealousy. "He's supposed to be focusing on the mission," she muttered to herself, shooting Zephyr a pointed look. Mrs. Gilbert, sensing the tension, intervened subtly. With a discreet nod, she reminded them of their primary objective, urging them to steer the conversation back to the investigation. Zephyr, heeding Mrs. Gilbert's silent cue, smoothly transitioned the discussion back to the matter at hand. "As fascinating as this conversation has been, Brianna, we mustn't lose sight of our purpose here," he stated diplomatically. Brianna, momentarily disappointed but still intrigued, acquiesced. "Of course, Enzo," she replied, her tone tinged with lingering interest. "But the offer still stands if you ever change your mind." Zephyr offered a charming smile, masking his reservations. "I'll keep that in mind," he replied smoothly, before excusing himself from Brianna's company.

Back at home, Valencia couldn't contain her frustration. "You were supposed to be gathering information, not flirting," she admonished Zephyr, her tone sharp with irritation. Zephyr, finding amusement in Valencia's jealousy, couldn't resist teasing her. "Jealous, are we?" he teased, a mischievous twinkle in his eye. "Could it be that you have feelings for me?" Valencia scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Don't be ridiculous," she retorted, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "I'm just concerned about our mission, that's all."

Mrs. Gilbert, observing the exchange with amusement, interjected with a chuckle. "You two make quite the pair," she remarked fondly, breaking the tension with her gentle humor. Zephyr, caught off guard by Mrs. Gilbert's comment, stumbled over his words. "Uh, yes, well," he stammered awkwardly, coughing to mask his discomfort. "I suppose I should turn in for the night. Goodnight, Mrs. Gilbert." With a smile, Mrs. Gilbert bid him goodnight, leaving Zephyr to retreat to his room, his mind buzzing with thoughts of the day's events and the curious dynamics between him, Valencia, and Mrs. Gilbert.
