Wriothesley's POV:

As Wriothesley twirled you elegantly across the ballroom floor, he couldn't help but feel a sense of exhilaration. You were quite unique and unlike anyone he had ever met, your eyes holding a spark of curiosity and bravery that intrigued him.

"You dance beautifully," Wriothesley remarked, his voice low and intimate.

Your cheeks flushed a deep red, a shy smile playing on your soft lips. "Thank you," you replied, your voice only slightly above a whisper.

As the music swirled around you, Wriothesley felt a sudden urge to protect your intriguing presence, to shield you from the darkness that lurked in the shadows.

"Tell me," Wriothesley began, his tone serious, "what brings out to the city recently? Surely, a highly ranking figure such as yourself must have a story to tell."

You hesitated, your gaze quickly flickering away. "I...I seek adventure, I've been in an endless cycle of work for far too long" you finally admitted, your voice tinged with longing. "But I fear I may have found more than I bargained for."

Wriothesley's grip tightened slightly, his heart skipping a beat. "Fear not, my dear," he whispered, his voice full of promise. "For in the beautiful city of Fontaine, adventure awaits at every turn. And with me by your side, you shall never face it alone."

As the dance came to an end, Wriothesley led you to a quiet corner of the ballroom, away from prying eyes. "Stay with me tonight," he implored, his gaze intense. "Let me show you the true beauty of Fontaine, and allow me to show you more of the depths of my affection for you."

You hesitated, your heart torn between the questionable offer given by the charming Wriothesley, and getting to know the seemingly stone faces Neuvillette. But in that moment, as you looked into Wriothesley's eyes, if felt as if your fate was sealed.

Little did you know, Wriothesley's intentions were far darker than they could have ever imagined, and the path they had chosen would lead them down a road of deceit and danger from which there may be no return... As for tonight though, you were safe from harm. The Duke was enticed by your mere existence, so he played his cards safely for now...
