As Y/n settled in with Navia for a bit, Wriothesley was consumed by thoughts of her. He couldn't shake the feeling that he had lost something precious, and he was determined to win her back at any cost.
One night, as Y/n walked along the path outside, she couldn't help but feel a sense of peace. The night air was cool and refreshing, a welcome change from the chaos of her recent days.
But her peaceful walk was soon interrupted when she sensed that she was being followed. She stopped in her tracks, her hand instinctively reaching for her weapon. She turned, ready to confront whoever was behind her.
To her surprise, it was Wriothesley. He stood a few paces away, his expression unreadable. Y/n tightened her grip on her weapon, unsure of what he was planning.
"Looking for someone, my dear?" Wriothesley said, stepping out into the moonlight. "I must say, I'm surprised to find you here. I thought you had learned your lesson about running away from me."
Y/n's heart raced as she faced off against Wriothesley. She knew that she was no match for him in a fight, but she refused to back down.
"I'm not running from you, Wriothesley," Y/n said, her voice steady. "I'm protecting myself from you. There's a difference."
Wriothesley chuckled, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Protecting yourself, are you? Well, I'm afraid that won't do, my dear. You belong to me, and I won't rest until you're back where you belong."
With that, Wriothesley lunged at Y/n, his movements swift and precise. Y/n fought back with all her strength, but she knew that she was outmatched. As Wriothesley closed in, she braced herself for the inevitable...
But to her surprise, the man only stood in front of her. "Y/n," Wriothesley said, his voice calm. "I didn't mean to startle you. I was just...out for a walk, and I saw you here. I wanted to talk."
Y/n eyed him warily. She knew that everything Wriothesley said was just a lie, and was not to be trusted, especially after their last encounter. But she also knew that she couldn't ignore him.
"What do you want, Wriothesley?" Y/n asked, her voice cold.
Wriothesley took a step forward, his eyes pleading. "I just want to talk, Y/n. Please, hear me out."
Y/n hesitated, unsure of what to do. Part of her wanted to turn and run, to escape from Wriothesley and his manipulative ways. But another part of her, a part that she tried to ignore, wanted to hear what he had to say.
Reluctantly, Y/n gestured for Wriothesley to continue. She knew that this conversation could change everything, for better or for worse. She saw Wriothesley standing under the shadows of the night, a smirk playing on his lips.
This was something she was going to regret walking into.
Wriothesley took a cautious step closer, his gaze softening. "Y/n, I know I've made mistakes. I've been...reckless in my pursuit of you. But please, hear me out. I want to make things right."
Y/n studied him, searching for any hint of deceit. She had seen this side of Wriothesley before, the side that could be charming and persuasive. But she had also seen his darker side, the side that was possessive and manipulative.
"What could you possibly say that would make things right, Wriothesley?" Y/n asked, her voice tinged with skepticism.
Wriothesley took a deep breath, steeling himself. "I know that I can't erase the past. But I want to try to make amends. I want to show you that I can change, that I can be the man you deserve."
Y/n was taken aback by Wriothesley's words. She had never heard him speak with such sincerity before. Could it be possible that he had truly changed?
"I...I don't know what to say," Y/n admitted, her guard still up. "I need time to think."
Wriothesley nodded, understanding. "Of course. Take all the time you need... But please, consider what I've said. I truly believe that we could have something... special, if only you'd give me a chance."
With that, Wriothesley turned and walked away, leaving Y/n alone with her thoughts. She knew that she had a difficult decision ahead of her, one that could change the course of her life forever.
With that, Wriothesley walked away from Y/n, his expression blank. As soon as he was out of sight, he allowed himself a small smile. He had played his part well, he thought. Y/n seemed to be considering his offer, and that was all he needed for now.
But deep down, Wriothesley knew that his intentions were far from pure. He still harbored an obsession for Y/n, a desire to possess her at any cost. He had only approached her with the pretense of change in the hope of winning her trust once again.
As he walked through the streets of Fontaine, Wriothesley's thoughts were swallowed by Y/n. He knew that he had to tread carefully, that one wrong move could ruin everything. But he was willing to take that risk, for the chance to have Y/n by his side again for the rest of their lives.
