"If you're here to kill me you could have do me a favor and do while I was unconscious" Vegas looked at Kinn
KInn chuckled and shook his head a bit
"How are you doing?" he asked
"Like getting shot four times" Vegas shrugged a bit
"Any permanent damage?"
"Nothing. Hopefully" Vegas shook his head
"Good" Kinn muttered and nodded a bit
"Why are you here?" Vegas asked, doubting that Kinn came to visit him just to see how he was doing.
"There is something I need...we need to talk to you about" Kinn looked at Porsche who nodded. Vegas noticed that Porsche looks a bit nervous about what he and Kinn want to talk to him about.
"What is it?" Vegas asked and felt Pete taking his hand in his which made him smile a bit. He felt like Pete knows what Kinn and Porsche are here to discuss.
"Gun is dead. And the minor family needs a leader" Kinn said. Vegas was surprised how little he cared about the reminder of his father being dead. He quickly glanced at Macau, worried he might not feel the same, but his brother did not seem bothered by that at all either which was good because Vegas was in no condition to make Kinn leave the room in case he would be upsetting Macau about talking about Gun this soon.
Vegas looked back at Kinn, waiting for him to continue, but he did not say anything else.
"I don't think you are here to tell me you want me to take my father's place" he noted
Kinn looked at Porsche.
"No, you found someone else for that already, didn't you?" Vegas figured. Not upset. Not even surprised to be honest.
"But... you have the right to..." Porsche started
"I think that the second we started the coup I lost any right for that position, Porsche" Vegas chuckled a bit
"So you're renouncing your right for that position then?" Kinn asked
"What's going to happen with Macau?" Vegas looked at him
"I expect once I'll get all healed up I'll get killed as an example for the others, but Macau..." he started and Macau tensed up at hearing that, not because he would be worried about himself but because now he was worried about Vegas. He didn't even consider that the coup could still have some consequences for his brother.
"No" Kinn shook his head
"None of that. No more killing, Vegas" he added
"There was enough blood spilled already" Porsche said
"If you wish to take Macau... and Pete and leave. Leave the family, the town or the country even, no one is going to stop you or follow you. You're free to do what you think is the best for you and your family" Kinn said
"But...if you would want to stay here and be part of the family no one is going to stop you from that either. And I would honestly be glad if you'd chose the latter" he added
"Why? Why do you want me to stay here? To be your little bitch? Always keeping in mind how kind you were to me right now?" Vegas chuckled a bit, but not amused at all. He was asking if he's going to trade fear of his father for fear of Kinn and his father's manipulation for Kinn's manipulation.
"No. None of that" Kinn rolled his eyes
"I'd like to start over. No offense but I think that with your father being dead things might be going way easier. No competition. No comparing. We could just...be family" he said and for some reason Vegas was sure he meant it. He looked at Macau and then at Pete
