"Are you sure you will be ok while we are gone?" Pete asked while gathering his stuff
"Unless Kinn isn't going to change his mind and kill me while you are gone I think I will be fine. I'll miss you, of course but I should be ok" Vegas smiled a bit
"He will not, don't worry" Pete smiled a bit and went to kiss Vegas. Vegas could see that even though Pete was smiling he was nervous. Not about leaving Vegas alone at the hospital, he trusted his family not to hurt Vegas in any way. He was nervous because he and Macau were about to go take a look at some of the houses and maybe even buy one. Pete was not used to making such big decisions, and now he will have to make one without Vegas being there.
"I wish you could go with us. I mean.. are you sure you can't? You're better now, aren't you?" Pete asked hopefully. He knew that Vegas obviously can not leave the hospital yet but he was just really worried about maybe having to buy the house on his own.
"Sure. I got shot only four times, what am I still doing in bed, right?" Vegas laughed a bit and reached for Pete's hand.
"You'll be fine, Pete" Vegas said and kissed Pete's hand
"Just pick the house you and Macau will like, ok?" he added
"We might not pick any today. We are just going to take a look at some of them" Pete noted
"I know. But if you'll feel like you've found the one then just buy it" Vegas said and Pete began to chew on his lower lip, a clear indication that he was still nervous to have to make such a big decision. And without Vegas being there.
"Come here" Vegas pulled him closer in a hug
"I promise I will be ok with any house you two will choose, ok? As long as you'll be there with me the house will be perfect" he assured him gently while hugging him
"I am not used to this" Pete muttered quietly
"I know" Vegas hugged him tighter
"Macau will be there with you, so you will have someone to talk about it there" Vegas reminded him
"I know. But..." Pete pulled back to look at him
"I would just want you to be there as well. I really want you to like it. I want you to be happy there" he said and Vegas smiled a bit and reached out his hand to stroke Pete's cheek
"Like I said. As long as I'll have you there with me the house will be perfect. No matter which one you and Macau will pick"
"I should go" Pete looked at the clock. He needed to pick Macau up from school first
"Go on then" Vegas said but pulled him in one last kiss before Pete will leave
"And Pete? You've got this ok? Just... you know follow your heart" Vegas decided to cheat and use Pete's words against him which made Pete roll his eyes a bit but then he had to smile anyway before he leaned closer for another kiss before he left, promising Vegas he and Macau will be back soon.

"Do you think it's really safe to leave Vegas there all alone?" Macau asked after he got in the car and Pete began to drive towards the first house they were going to see
"I understand that you don't trust the main family...yet, so just try to trust me then, ok? Or do you think I would leave Vegas there if I was not absolutely sure it's safe?" Pete briefly looked at Macau before he focused back on the road
"I do trust you" Macau muttered
"But if they would decide to do something to him there's no one who'd prevent them from doing so" he sighed a bit
