Cami hadn't changed her mind like Caroline thought she would. The birthday party had been amazing and probably one of the best nights she had ever had, but she had to think of her children's futures. After the Dereas brothers had finally died and Kai was sent back to the prison world, Cami waited a month before she finally made it official that she was leaving for Savannah, Georgia.

The day Cami had told them she was going to move shocked everyone, and that afternoon was filled with them begging Cami to stay and telling her how much she would miss out on but Cami didn't budge and she remained persistent with her decision. She had told the girls and Aiden earlier, and they reluctantly agreed after Cami talked about their futures and how it would benefit them.

The day came of her moving away, and she had gone to the Mikaelson Conpound to say goodbye. The Mystic Falls gang had decided to stay in New Orleans longer just to say goodbye to Cami when she left for Savannah. Everyone exchanged goodbyes, and almost everyone had cried as they hugged her and her family. There were final pleas of them to stay but Cami didn't listen.

Klaus didn't like to admit it, but his heart had shattered when he heard the news of her leaving. He had stopped her from moving before, but that was back when she loved him. Their current predicament was different, and he was sure he couldn't change her mind, so he silently accepted that she was going to go. However, on the day of her leave, he shared a small hug with Lilly and Aiden and then an awkward goodbye with Cami. He thought his eyes were deceiving him when he saw Cami's eyes fill up with tears as he told her goodbye and wished her the best of luck. That night, after she had left, he had gone to his room and broke everything in his way. The Mikaelson siblings felt pity on their brother but decided it was best for him to take his anger out.

Hope had cried that night. She had known Cami her whole life, and she loved her. But another reason for her tears was Klaus' reaction. She had heard him breaking things in his room, and she couldn't help but cry as she thought of how bad she felt for her father.

Cami didn't admit it to anyone, but she had cried her eyes out at the thought of not seeing her friends again, and her heart physically hurt at the thought of not seeing Klaus again. She was going to miss her friends and she knew it was for the best but it didn't mean she wasn't going to miss them at all.

One Year Later

The family of four lived together in a 2-story suburban house. The area they had chosen to live was perfect for them. Lilly loved the calmness and quiet of living in the country, but Cami loved the city, so they compromised. Their home was in a quiet neighbourhood in a small country area. However, the city wasn't far at all, and a quick 5 minute walk would take them there. The space was perfect for all of them.

Lilly and Aiden both had their own bedrooms, and Cami slept along with her toddler, Lexi, who turned 2 in a month. Aiden and Lilly had broken up while they were in New Orleans as they didn't think they shared the same feelings anymore. The two were now best friends, and there was no awkward tension between the two.

Cami, now a highly respected therapist in the area, balanced her career with occasional stints as a bartender. She was also sometimes called upon to help psychologically analyse a crime. She remained an influential figure for her two daughters and was an amazing mother. She had made new friends with a vampire called Derec and a witch by the name of Serena, whom she had grown to both love. Caroline, Davina, and Hope occasionally checked in, while Rebekah and Cami exchanged texts very rarely. Her and Klaus hadn't spoken since he had wished her good luck and secretly, she wished he would surprise her by coming over but a few months after she had left, she came to accept the fact she may never see or hear from him again.

Lilly, now 17, had grown into a more mature and stable young woman who could also be slightly irresponsible at times. She was currently in a strong, nine-month relationship with her boyfriend, Ambrose, whom she has reconnected with. Everything had been explained about her and Aiden, and eventually, Brody gave her a second chance, and they both deeply loved each other. Aiden was perfectly fine with them two being together. In fact, he had actually grown to become best friends with Brody. Lilly excelled in school, maintaining her intelligence, and formed close bonds with her new friends, Hazel and Victoria. The trio often gathered at her house, with Cami sometimes joining their activities.
