Y/N POV:
Everyone in this castle has always been so reserved and cold! Deus is a big jerk who only wants to push and boss people around. Nergal is a controlling dictator who wants to see everyone around him suffer, and Mephisto is a cocky, condescending bastard. There's only one person I really enjoy talking to, and that's Beryl.

Beryl has always been more emotional and outgoing than the others. He's much more talkative, and doesn't go out of his way to bully me. I enjoyed talking with Beryl whenever I got bored, and he quickly became my friend. I spent most of my time inside my room in the castle, and sometimes I would walk around the big, empty hallways, not wanting to just sit around all the time.

I began to see Beryl more and more around the hallways on the usual route I walked, and he would walk with me. The days seemed to progress quicker when we spent time together, and I really appreciated that. The others say that he's been too clingy and annoying towards me, and I ignored them at first.

Lately, I've been seeing him every day, and I feel like the others may be right. He gets kind of worried if I talk to any of the others, as if they were going to steal me away from him. He liked knowing where I was, and it was like he wanted to keep me 'safe' from everyone else.

He knows where my room is, he knows every place I walk, and even if I did try to hide, he has a very strong sense of smell, almost like an animal. He does have a tail, and it is pretty difficult for him to control it when he gets really happy or excited.

I tried to distance myself a little, but he'd always end up finding out where I was. I decided that I'd try to spend a little more time with the others, which made him more anxious and wound up. I wasn't too worried, until one day I found out how powerful he actually was.

We were in the lower part of the estate, cleaning the dungeon as punishment for lying to Nergal about having snuck out of the castle again. Beryl was sweeping one side of the floor, while I had to scrub the other. Beryl's loud, complaining voice sounded from the other side of the room.

"I don't want to do this, this is such an unfair punishment! We've snuck out of the castle before, you know."
I laugh a bit as I wipe sweat off my face, and look towards him. He's dropped his broom and has been trying to reach between the bars of the cell, trying to reach his dustpan. He had thrown it against the cell's bars in annoyance, only for it to get knocked into the cell, and out of his reach.

"Yeah, we did sneak out before, but remember how Nergal said we only had one more chance before he would punish us? I guess this is what we get."

I heard a clank and an annoyed groan from the other side of the room, before hearing a deafening sound of squeaking and crushing metal. I lift my head up quickly, to see Beryl holding one of the cell's bars in his hand, with the entire metal barred wall having been pulled off of the support beams.
