I hadn't thought anything of this one today when I invited my best friend, Toga, over to my house. The storm outside rained heavily, the water droplets beating against the windows of my house. Toga entered the door, the rain sprinkling outside. I welcomed her in as she took off her shoes.
"Hey, Toga! Glad you could make it, the storm is pretty bad, huh..?"
"Yeah! I'm glad I could come over, Y/N."
Toga's shoes hit the floor with a thud, and she shuts and locks the door behind her. She unzips her jacket and hangs it on the rack near the door. She steps towards me, some of the rain water still visible on her clothes and hair.
Toga looks around my house, taking in the surroundings and all the little trinkets and decorations I have around my house. She inhales; smelling the air freshener in the air of my home.
"Hehe.. and your house smells just like you, Y/N.."
I look at her creepy little grin she has. Toga always does creepy and weird stuff like that; but I never pay too much attention to it. She's got this weird thing for the way people smell, and she likes my smell a lot for some reason. She'll come up sometimes and sniff my neck for no reason, and then giggle and scurry away.
We joke about it, but she doesn't talk about my shampoo. She always smells that one spot on my neck, and nowhere else. I've changed my shampoo a few times to see if she would notice, but she never did.
Still, we sat together in my house while the storm continued. We walked into my kitchen together, and I started looking through my fridge for something we could eat. Toga opens my pantry and scans the shelves inside. She finds a large bag of potato chips, and she takes them out and hands them to me. I've taken out two cans of soda from the fridge for us, and she takes them from me.
"Come on, Y/N! Let's go watch something on YouTube!"
She grabs my hand and bounds down the hallway and into my room. Soon enough, we make it into my bed. I look at Toga while she sits down and turns on my TV, and we start looking through YouTube to find a good video. We start watching a gameplay video on YouTube, and we cuddle up close.
My head is on Toga's shoulder, and I can smell her shampoo really close. She smells really nice, and she eventually notices me taking smells. She doesn't pay attention to it, and she opens the bag of chips. We stuff our mouths full of chips and soda, and we laugh at the video on the screen.
The storm gets worse and worse outside, and we can hear the heavy droplets on the roof. Soon enough, it's darker, and I get a couple more texts from friends and family about the storm outside.
