🎂 AND BONUS! Today is actually my birthday!🎂 ——————————————————————— Y/N POV: Birthdays haven't been anything really exciting for me the past couple years. I would just get a few 'Happy Birthday' cards and wishes here and there, but no big celebration or anything like when I was a kid. But I wanted this year to be different. I wanted a party; I wanted to be excited to wake up this year.
So I decided to plan and host my own birthday party, and invite a few friends over for some food and video games and whatnot. I invited my best friend, TK, my roommate, Lucy, and my friend, Peter. I bought some confetti poppers just for some shits and giggles, and I got myself a really nice cake.
The cake was one of my favorite parts of a birthday party. I bought two cakes; a chocolate and a vanilla one. I bought two so I could have both instead of having to choose just one, because that was always the hardest part.
The last thing; presents. I didn't really need them, but I knew my friends would bring me a little something. They had a very good sense for what I liked, and I knew what they all liked as well.
The day of the party finally came, and I was super excited to finally have a party! I rushed to put up a few small decorations around before my friends arrived, like a plain white tablecloth with rainbow polka dots, and some confetti on the ground. I had a few streamers put up, and I waited behind the door for my first friend to come in.
TK was the first to step into my apartment. I opened the door and snuck behind it while it opened. I was hiding behind the door, when they stepped into my apartment holding a small gift bag with a bow. Their clothes were soaked from the pouring rain outside, and they took of their hood as soon as they stepped into my house.
"Y/N? What are you-"
Before they can finish their sentence, I pop the little confetti popper right at them. Confetti sprays onto their face and hair, and the 'pop' noise makes them jump a little bit.
"Pfftt- ew; I got confetti in my mouth!"
"Well, what does it taste like?"
"Here; find out!"
TK throws a handful of confetti at me while laughing, and they walk over to the table to set down my gift. Since Lucy already lived with me, the only other person left that we were waiting on was Peter. Since we decided to wait for him to start cake and other festivities, we all decided to play a game of Uno. Lucy starts opening the box of cards, and she takes them into her hands to shuffle them.
"I'm a god at Uno, I swear. I'm gonna win this game, on god."
I look at her, unconvinced. Soon enough, what would normally be a calm game escalated into a whole zoo, and Lucy wasn't exactly doing as well as she claimed she would be.
