Chapter 14 | RETALIATION: War on the Water

Last time on Atonement Rebirth: After their last major battle against the Red Axis, Azur Lane has taken in some Sakura Empire guests(Taihou, Shoukaku, Zuikaku, and Ayanami). Following their capt- rescue, the entire base of Azur Lane took the next day off to finally have some time to relax and rest up after the constant fighting. However, one of their best, Enterprise, is still not in the right of mind at the time being. Something's wrong.

During this time, the sinners, commanders, major ships, and the admiral held a meeting. Here they discussed plans on what to do now that the Red Axis will become more aggressive and violent moving forward. As well as leaving the other sinners to wait until the war is over.

On top of that, Y/n got a little spicy with a Royal Navy Red-Head.

After the events that happened the previous day... And the day after that, Y/n is no longer what you'd call a single man or a bachelor. Though it was pretty rough at the beginning, he was able to make up with and be matched with an exceptionally beautiful woman, Monarch.

Even so, despite courting one another and being in a romantic relationship, the two decided to keep said relationship a secret as something like this may or may not get them into some serious trouble... But then again Andrian's got a harem. In spite of that, it'd be best to keep their personal business away from their professional ones. Sadly, only one person was able to see through their guise, but she'll be sure to keep their love life a secret as well. (If you read the end of the special chapter, you'll know who.)

As usual, Y/n and Monarch would act as they normally would: the occasional bickering, Monarch threatening Y/n, not in a hostile way but rather in a joking and friendly way being as apparently the two were able to "squash their beef". This makes it so they're seen as just comrades.

Moving on from that and skipping ahead to where another meeting was held in the Admiral's office. The purpose of this meeting is to come up with strategies and a plan for their next move, with one of them being a way to take down Project Orochi. Despite being in the room, Enterprise continued to feel a bit off. Y/n tried to have a talk with her, but it was to no avail. She would stay silent or look away from him, in fact she even avoided him all together. She still feels guilty for what she's done... to Y/n and to everyone during their last battle.

Not important but Y/n does hope to figure out a way to talk with Enterprise one on one. Cornering her would probably be a bad idea so that's a definite no-no. Since this during an important meeting, Y/n would have to put this idea away for the time being.

During the meeting, those participating were going through various tactics and plans. There's also different possibilities and consequences that might happen during their future missions. So during their discussion of a main plan, there will also be a back-up plan... And a back-up plan for the back-up plan.

It went by really smoothly, those who were present during this meeting will have to take advantage of the information and little by little, it'll be spread out amongst the other members of the base. There will also be various forms of drills and training for upcoming battles.
